I have a loss of 2lbs this week, no red meat this week only chicken & fish plus either veggie option or quorn.Went swimming yesterday with the family, only managed 2 lengths, but did my stretching exercises in the water as well. tried the meat free bacon in an omelette. have also found the best value quorn in Mr Ice 2x300g quorn £3.00, although Mr T & Mr A have a lot of cheap veggie options. Not going to be as bad as l thought.0

Hello there  I'm weighing in today with a 2lb loss.
I'm finding that it's easy during the week to watch what I eat and make the careful choices but at the weekend everything goes to pot and I eat anything that isn't moving!
I was really good all week. On Friday night we had Fajitas. Not so bad you think, then I muched almost a full bag of ALD* dorito-like chips with salsa dip, then followed that with chocolate. I wasn't drinking so I can't work out what that was all about!
Last night I went to a work birthday party at a local Pizza restaurant (the one where everyone is on a voucher of some kind). I did have a salad but it was goats cheese and roasted vegetable and it is quite oily so probably quite high in calories and maybe not much better than a pizza anyway. Oh well. The dough balls and ice cream won't have helped, but what can you do? Got to get the best value from the deal!
Its lovely to hear all of your news and bits and pieces. Nothing exciting for me, working today but at least I get the chance to get plenty done whilst it's quiet.
Well done to all the other losers and comiserations to those who have gained this week. Encouragement going out to everyone for another focused, positive week.

I think you have to weigh with two legs in the air for it make a difference sirens :rotfl:
This made me :rotfl:, conjured up all sorts of images in my mind!If anyone tells you that doing lots of painting, climbing up and down ladders etc. will help with weight loss - don't believe them! It just makes you eat on the go and pick up any bit of cake that just happens to be lying around in the cake tin
Not quite sure I understand this? I'd have thought that any exercise/moving is better for me that sitting on my butt doing nothing, if not for weight loss then for suppleness, and to be fair I'm no more likely to have a cake afterwards than if I'd been to the gym for an hour- where incidentally I have seen women disappear to the cafe for a scone and coffee after their session!
B - Apple
D - child's portion of Hunters Chicken, few chips and peas. 2 scoops ice cream with choc sauce. The restaurant is quite happy to serve me a child's portion, don't know why I've never thought of it before rather than leave half of what I have on a full-sized plate
T - 3 crackerbread - 1xvegemite, 1x egg mayo, 1xrf cheese& tomato
S - melon, cucumber/carrot/celery batons. keep them in the fridge, I can pick if I want to.
E - Up and down steps at tip 9 times to empty stuff from car into hoppers, hope this counts as each flight of steps is 12 treads! 2x10 mins so far, more to follow. Rewarding that my tight trousers now need a belt to hold them up
Have a good evening0 -
Hi Folks
Hope you all had a good weekend. I’ve had a bit of “spring clean” type weekend – I find after having the windows opened most of the summer, the blinds and curtains need a good wash to get rid of all the street dust etc that’s been floating in. So although I probably haven’t worked off too many calories I do feel that’s a job well done.
I also decided to stop going for the comfort option and put the shorts and trousers with elasticated waists (that I’ve been wearing all summer) in the cupboard – there is nothing like a tight waistband to give me incentive to watch what I’m eating.
Picked up heaps of f&v (super six) so now need to and find some recipe ideas and draw up this weeks plan.
Meals today =
B – Banana on toast
L – hm Cheese Scone x 2, sliced tomato & cucumber
D – Roast Pork, boiled pots, steamed cabbage & sweetcorn.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Hello everyone! Well this weekend wasn't a great success food wise, on Sat we went to a friend's house for lots of cider, pizza and crisps
On the plus side, I stayed at home on Friday night so no booze, and had a black coffee instead of a Frappuccino in the afternoon. On Sunday we went to the zoo for a walk when I would rather have stayed in bed, and had a fruit tea at the cafe and no cake!
Anyway, onwards and downwards! Todays food shall be -
B - bowl of cereal with skimmed milk, mint tea
L - 3 Ryvita with cottage cheese and ham
D - turkey and veg chow mein, corn cob (no butter!)
S - Options hot choc, satsumas, FF yogurt
Will try and go for a walk later, usually manage an hour round the village either on DH's lunch hour or after work. I'm feeling really demotivated atm, the weight I've put on has made me feel horrible. None of my clothes fit comfortably, and walking uphill is much harder than it should be. I'm hoping to be as active as possible on holiday, so need to improve my fitness. We're planning hikes, kayaking and lots of swimming / snorkelling while we're away, and atm I wouldn't be able to manage much of that. I refuse to spend what should be an amazing holiday sitting on the sidelines wrapped in a sarong and stuffing myself because I'm embarrassed.
Ooops, sorry for rambling on! Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Hi Everyone
I was spitting teeth yesterday !!!
My beloved, who has been counting the number of sleeps until this holiday (he started counting 5 weeks ago) finally brought the suitcases downstairs for me.. I needed to know what weight they were before I packed them....
Anyway, I suggested he used the scales and also the wii scales as according to the internet, they should have weighed 5.5kilos... Well, I didn't want to knock out my weight so I suggested he logged on instead .... The last time was 3 years ago .... and he has been munching non stop since then... He comes back from his work; opens the fridge door; and munches away at anything he fancies and then he is into the biscuit cupboard where there are these breakfast bar things (I can't eat them) and he chews away at them.... Then he has his main meal.... and then he nibbles on salted peanuts of popcorn or anything... He also takes 4 rolls to his work and fruit and any leftover meal from the night before.... and yes, you've guessed it.....
He was 5 lbs lighter than he was 3 years ago !!!!
I just have to look at a biscuit or cheese or whatever, and I put on stones !!! I would say I was more active than him, in the sense that I have a very large garden that I am always working in... also with having a Victorian house, it takes a lot of cleaning, although this week I am cat and kitten free... so it will make a change not having to get up at 7.30 to feed the kittens or get woken up at 4.30 am listening to one of the cats scrambling about !!!
I just thought I would share this with you..... I have just realised that I have forgotten to add the drink.... He also drinks loads of ginger beer/coke/cider/tea but he doesn't like milky coffee as it is fattening
What a guy.... and I am the obese one !!!0 -
Really sorry I haven't been keeping up with the challenge ... Rather than keep messing you about I will pull out of it.
Due to a few hormonal issues I am finding weight loss extremely difficult
Hope everyone is doing well on your challenge xSW member: 09/01/2014
