I'm still plodding along, nothing new to report really.
After my cake indulgence on Sunday, I'm back to eating well, although I don't think the scales have moved yet.

We have family visiting from abroad for the next few weeks, so my DM is going overboard with the cake baking. So far I've resisted...when I say no thank you, she sticks the plate closer to my nose to see if she can tempt me, I can actually smell the deliciousness :rotfl:Why are mothers so cruel? :rotfl:

TG...you must have got slimmer somewhere if your skirt is slipping downwards...maybe your left hipbone or right buttock or somewhere else that you don't measure...:)

Why oh why do I think other people who STS are clever and doing really well.......but when I STS .....

I am a total failure, useless and there is no point trying to diet etc, I just as well eat everything that isnt nailed down.

    ***big sigh***

    :(:(:(

I had better get on with reading my self help CBT book, I am such a negative thinker and forever catastrophising (sp?)!!

    :o:o:o

Can anyone share any tips on how to stay on the wagon, when things arent going as we would like please????

Yesterday was a good day for calories:-

B - 100g low fat greek yog and 50g granola

L - 3 x crackerbread, 30g red pepper humous, 10g low fat cream cheese, slice of lean ham

    S - raspberries

    T - WW tagliatelle bolognaise

    S - 20g bran flakes

    500ml ss milk

    1110 calories for Tuesday.

    Onwards and (hopefully) downwards! :D

fozzie - sorry, I can't offer any tips - I'm struggling a bit at the moment as well. :(

Last night's plan went totally to pot, again. :o I think I'm going to have to rethink things and start having either a slightly bigger lunch or an afternoon snack as, for the past two evenings, I've been so ravenous by dinner time that I've ended up eating a huge portion which can't help my attempts to lose weight (and, according to the scales, isn't helping - I look set to barely scrape a half pound loss this week :().

    So, today goes:

B - two rye crispbreads with the last of the ginger curd
L - small roll filled with a couple of thinnish slices of blue brie and a tomato; portion of radishes; portion of cherries
S - small pack of breadsticks with tomato dip (left over from an old graze box)
D - pasta with green veg and seafood sauce (lots of veg, only a small amount of pasta); mixed berry fool

    Keep on keeping on, all!
Back after a very long break!

fozziebeartoo...I don't have any wonderful words of wisdom either :(

I think CCP saying "keep on keeping on" is the best advice.

We applaud staying the same because we know how easy it is to put weight on, so staying steady is good. But...we all want to lose weight here, so it's very frustrating when nothing is happening.

I was exactly where you are a few weeks ago, just couldn't move a pound, felt like giving up. Now I've started to go down again (very slowly!)...so I think if we just keep trying and eating well it has to come off eventually (although mfp does say if you go too low on calories it can halt your weight loss, can't comment on that because I've never eaten that low :))

So tell yourself you'll have a bigger loss next week, and keep trying :)

  • Hello

Can I join in the challenge again please; I haven’t been on this thread for a while and haven’t weighed myself for months - but to cut a long story short, the "muffin-top" has returned so weighed myself this morning and half a stone  has crept on through my negligence and laziness :o

I had got out of the habit of menu planning and eating healthy - resorting to quick fixes ie Carb City.

Knit Witch, am I right in thinking that there are 6 weigh-ins left to go of this challenge – if so I think I will aim for 5lbs this time around.

Well that’s the first step, now I’m off to draft up a menu once I've done an inventory of the fridge/freezer.
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £113.01
  • Thank you CCP and ellie99

I appreciate you responding to my whinge!!

    :D

I havent given up and eaten my way through the fridge.....much to my surprise!!

    :rotfl:

OH has planned a nice day for me tomorrow, so that will certainly include extra food/treats.....so if I stay on track today, I can look forward to more indulgence tomorrow.

And then at least I will deserve a gain or STS ;););)

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!!

    savesummore - Happy Birthday :)

fozziebeartoo - I know exactly how you are feeling. Last week I put on a pound :( even though the only thing extra I had in the entire week was one piece of cake. One measly piece! So far this week I seem to have lost that pound again (though it's not Friday yet so who knows!) but that will still leave me at sts when I want to go down. Just keep plodding on is all I can think of.

    Happy Birthday savesommore:bdaycake:

Well yesterday went to a museum and gardens with the kids and then to a sand park, so although our picnic did include chocolate and crisps, we did a ton of walking. Also hm pizza for tea but went easy on the cheese.:A

Today well quiet day in, going to clean the kitchen after lunch, then throw the kids in the garden for some fresh air and a bit of a tidy up out there.
    B. blueberry bagel
    L. Some sort of sandwich, crisp
    D. Roast chicken, new pots, veg

fozzie I know its hard but sts the same is positive as ellie said it is so easy put on and a sts is that little shove we need sometimes to keep trying and stay focused. And see you are focused as no fridge devouring :T
