Welcome Rachel and missymoo, and hi to Alipot

Rachel...I hope you kept your sense of humour with the chair, you made me smile here, even while commiserating at the same time :)
I guess I'm still looking after things for Ms KW (I cant remember when she said she was back :rotfl:)

I'll pop you down missymoo, and welcome :D

TG, if I remember right, I think you're in charge for the rest of the week :T

Well the sun seems to have disappeared here today...after I have overstretched myself trying to get curtains down to wash, hope it reappears soon.
Decided to wash DSs curtains seeing as he's working away all week...ugh, his room was so dusty  He's an adult, he's meant to keep his own room clean! It's a small room, and quite full of stuff, so hard to clean round it... it's not grotty, just very dusty, it's been making me cough cleaning it today. He needs a girlfriend, he keeps the room much nicer when there's a girl on the scene :)

  • Hello again all

*takes the reins for the foreseeable future* :D

Went out in the sun today. Ugh, such horrible heat, I wish there was a breeze! If I was to make a musical/theatre related reference I would do an Elphaba, and melt! :rotfl:

Anyway, have had my hair done (just a trim and tidy up) and then popped to Mr A's to get a few essential bits, bread milk etc. Have to pop to Mr T's tomorrow for some other things (the heavier bits like bottled drinks, potatoes, onions, meat, frozen bits/ice cream, cleaning bits) as well as I didnt take the car today, but dropping DM at the dentist so will go via Mr T's on the way back. :D

couldnt resist a pizza from Mr A's today, but its a veggie one so maybe its not all bad......

    b - 2 x turkey rashers, 1 x ww sausage (made into a sandwich with 2 x small slices bread)
    l - veggie pizza :o
d - hm portion of quorn chicken and rice
s - fruit if I'm hungry after dinner.

I love this excuse...please may I use it too :)
(I've certainly got one very puffy foot right now...it must weigh a LOT :rotfl:)

And re the bunnies...I hope you meant you'd want to cuddle them a lot, and not anything more sinister :)

Its unanimous then.. its puffy feet that are causing the weight gains and nothing to do with over indulging. All solved. :D We're all off the hook. :D

And yep, nothing sinister. Love fluffy bunnies to snuggle in...although there was this one recipe:drool::rotfl:

I'm going to skip very hurridly over yesterdays eats,

Ah well, if Sirens doing it so am I. ;)

Managed to eat quite well with friends on Saturday, quite calorific but had small portion and NO alcohol.

Unfortunately, all came undone Sunday. Ended up spending all afternoon at hospital with sick family member and by evening was too smashed to think what to cook so ordered in. :(

Today wasn't much better. Bagel and bacon, chicken wings and then tonight 2x doughnuts and an apple and blackcurrant pie. Oh and a buttered roll.

Got the feeling that I've admitted to all so now I can put it behind me and push forward.
DH going away for a few days working and I've only one other in the house who is no match for me when I'm intent on evil in the kitchen so I must get a grip.
I'm a comfort eater and when stressed eat like a locust so must get my mind set right by the morning.

I've smiled so much reading your posts, though. Completely cheered me up. ;)

Edited: Just remembered, HI Rachel, missymoo and Alipot

    Love it! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I too feel like I've done the damage and can now put it behind me and start again...there's no chocolate left in the house, and I won't buy any more, whether it's a reduced bargain or not. I'm fed up with putting on over the weekend then having to play catch up all week.

    So today -
    B: granola and ss milk
L: 1 slice of wm toast with spread
D: half a quiche, oven chips, beans

No snacks (and no wine last night :))

No proper exercise, took curtains down, bit of housework, little bit of gardening.

    B - F&F, ss milk
L - WW wm with lettuce, tomato, grated cheese, rf mayo
D - Melanzane parmigiana (a posh way of saying aubergine bake :p) with salad
    S - fresh fruit
E - 1x10 mins done, not too sure about more cos I might have to put my feet up to get rid of the swollen ankles!

    Enjoy the sunshiny day :)

Maybe someone should inform the authorities? :rotfl:
My son and I have been watching the TV series from the seventies "Survivors", in which most of the population is wiped out by a plague...now we have the internet swollen feet syndrome could spread like lightening :rotfl:

I may be considered an interesting case...I have one totally normal foot, and one swollen one, looks like half a tennis ball stuck on the side of my ankle...I'm lucky cos it's not too painful, and it's not turned black and bruised :)

Today there will be more curtain activity...do you see a pattern emerging here?...I'm not stopping until all the curtains in the house have been washed. It's getting cooler here, and I want to make use of the sun before it disappears altogether.

Enjoy the heat if you've still got it :)

ETA - sparrer...melanzane parmigiana, wow! in our house aubergine bake would be considered posh :rotfl:

    Hi,

I joined a while back but I don't have access to the internet everyday and lose track of the thread. I have been on sw since February and am ashamed to say that I am now 12lb heavier than when I joined (purely because I don't keep track of what I eat rather than the diet itself)

I usually hide what I weigh and whilst I know you aren't required to put your weight on here it is something I want to do to try and keep me on track. I weigh in at 265lbs and have 35 weeks to my holidays. I would ideally like to be under 200lb by then.

I have started using my fitness pal again to keep me on track. Alongside this I am trying to keep our food budget in check ... some weeks have seen a £100 - £150 bill for just 3 of us

Today isn't a brilliant day as I have been up since 5 with the little one :o

    Breakfast: Rice Krispies and milk
    Brunch: Bacon Sandwich
    Lunch: Turkey Salad Sandwich
Dinner: Soup, Rump Steak with veg (Meal out)
Exercise: 15 minutes dog walk, 45 minute fast walk at lunch.

Along side this I have been going to the upstairs loo at work and doing 5 to 10 squats whilst there :D every little helps :rotfl:

Do you think it might be a good idea to get your ankle checked out?

Also does it hurt the back of your leg when you walk on it?

Does the swelling go down at night?

Might be worth a quick trip to GP or ring NHS Direct or whatever guise it is going under now?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
