Got back from oop norf last night, had a simply super spiffing (not spliffing as DGD1 used to say :rotfl:) smashing time with the family and at DS's grad ceremony. He and his OH both graduated last week after years of slog, very proud of them both. I shan't list every meal, suffice to say that on Thursday DS's OH introduced me to St@rbucks toasted buttered fruit loaf which we went back to ensure the quality of the following day
.
Yesterday
B - none
L - on the road, chicken & bacon roll, packet of rs crisps
D - pork chop which was so big almost nothing else would have got on the plate!
Today
B - F&F, ss milk
D - Hunters chicken, salad w/o dressing, few chips. Ice cream with chocolate sauce
T - Salad wrap with rf mayo
S - fresh fruit
E - Laundry, ironing, mowed lawn, weeded. Unbelievable how everything has grown in just four days
Welcome Rachel and welcome back Alipot :wave:0 -

Hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend.
I've spent the day selling at a car boot sale, so the bending, lifting and standing will be considered my exercise for the day. It was a very pleasant day, just a few car boots in a car park which has a lot of visiting tour buses...it was lovely meeting people and hearing where they'd been on holiday and where "home" was...I think they covered Glasgow to Somerset (the lady from Somerset said she'd come back to Scotland and see me again :rotfl:)
I now have one sunburnt foot (the swollen one)...just the one? I'm sure I took both my feet with me :rotfl:
The bad foot coped well, but it's aching now.
So not given food much thought today -
B: berry granola
L: half a ham and tomato sandwich, half a cheese sandwichhalf tin of beans on 2 slices toast
I'm cream crackered after being out in the sun all day, and going to bed sounds tempting...but I want to watch The White Queen on TV at 9pm...I'm considering "doing a daisie" and having a glass of wine, but that would mean an open bottle to finish later in the week...hmm, maybe won't bother.
Oh, and I'm nearly £100 better off :T
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Thank you for the welcome. I want to loose a stone by the end of September.
I know I need to loose weight as I fell through a chair earlier on.:o0 -
Welcome back sparrer
Nice one with the car boot, Ellie! If weather holds over the next couple of weeks DM and myself need to get out and do one, not next weekend though as we'll be out late next Saturday night.
Just listing my food for today and then off to re-update the spreadsheet :rotfl:
b - 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 x buttered finger roll
s - banana
l - piece of h/m steak and kidney pie, peas, l/o brussel sprouts, and way way waaaaay too many roast potatoes (I went back for a second helping of the tatties...and then thirds...)
s - large piece of h/m apple pie
d - 3 x crackerbread with spread, 2 x carrots with chive dip
still got the munchies and want to nibble and know I shouldnt! :A
edit: okay well damage limitation....had a cheese and salad bagel...couldnt help it...:rotfl: pretty sure that gives me my 5 a day at least, plus calcium....0 -
Went into town today for a walk around the shops, was there for about 5 hours and was walking around for at least 4 hours, so got plenty of exercise and also did 25 minutes on the exercise bike when we got home.
Unfortunately we ate lunch in Mr A's cafe, which was roast beef in gravy with 2 small roast potatoes (they only had 2 left), 1 small yorkshire pud (usually I would have at least 2), peas, mashed potato, sausage sage and onion stuffing, parsnips and more gravy on top. The woman who served us really piled the plate up, there was lots of beef, mash and stuffing. I know I should have asked for a bit less but I do like to get value for money, lol! I really enjoyed it and felt stuffed afterwards, but I feel like I've gone way over my calorie allowance for the day, any ideas how many calories might have been in this lot?
On the plus side we didn't have a pudding like we usually do, and we had a diet coke instead of latte, but I did get a cider lolly off the ice cream man. Since we got home I have only had a latte, 2 sausage rolls and a piece of quiche as I wasn't at all hungry, but I also had a can of pear cider!:eek:Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

125g (about 4 slices) roast beef = 260cals
2 x roast potatoes = 60cals
1 x yorkshire pudding = 45cals
50g peas (3 large spoons) = 35cals
235g (3 large spoons) mashed potato = 240cals
195g stuffing (3 large spoons) = 189cals
115g (6 pieces) parsnips = 160cals
total = 989cals
of course these are all approx and according to my little carbs/cals book. hth x0 -
Hi can I join? I'm sick of all the faddy diets where I just put straight back on the weight I've lost. I've just read through a few pages on the thread sbd I'm touched by how friendly and encouraging you all are.
I'm trying to lose the weight I put on in pregnancy and then a little bit more. I'd ideally like to lose it by my birthday in September. So can you put me down as having 18lb to lose, I'm averaging hopefully about 2lb a week, hope that's ok.
