If it's 13 weeks I might up mine a bit, if you don't mind - I thought it would be a month or so. Can I put myself down for 11lbs / 5kg, please - that's just under a pound a week, which should be do-able even with the music festival I'm going to in a couple of weeks' time. :)

    Not a problem CCP :D

    Hello KW and Co

I've been well off the rails in the last 10 days and put on the 3.6lb I previously lost.
I also fell of the cutting down alcohol wagon which is where the weight gain comes from:o
I am now at 13 stone
I aim to lose 10lbs over the 13 weeks which I believe takes us up to the end of September.
My motivation is the £21 I pay each month to weightwatchers! I'm also 50 at the end of October and would like to be in the 11's by then!

    Onward and (hopefully) downward

    Joanne

Last night's dinner - I promised myself that at the end of the challenge I'd treat myself to a take away so in true OS style I picked up a curry from Mr M. Unfortunately I chose the wrong one and the first - and only - forkful nearly blew my mouth off! Still have blisters inside my bottom lip this morning :(.

sparrer, how disappointing when it was your special treat. If this was America you'd be suing them...why would you sell food so hot it burns people???

Anyway, the reason I am posting tonight is because I have been doing some research on the Cadburys pop'n candy or whatever it was callled....... :)

I saw it in the supermarket so I paid the full price and bought it for beloved.... He's a chocolate fanatic... So the question was is it better than white toblerone ?????

Well, he started munching it and surprise, surprise, he didn't like it... Now he's the one that eats his way through my stash of cooking chocolate (which is Belgian)... anything worth eating in the fridge, all biscuits .... In fact, the only food that is safe is of the Whiskas variety.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was a bit disappointed, as I paid full price so I had a little... The popping sensation in the mouth reminded me of one of the Neslie Chocolate Oranges... and I didn't think much of the jellies etc... Well, I might not have appreciated the finer points of the chocolate, but I trotted back and forth to the fridge all night until there was only one square left.... which I have just eaten (for scientific research, of course, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

So having carried out the investigation, the chocolate has to go on the banned list.... It might not taste the same as my toblerone but it was definitely addictive and I might just drag the ladder up 3 flights (from basement to bedroom) to munch it..... so it won't be bought again .... as I hope to lose weight during the next challenge.... .

What's up with your OH officeguru...how could he not like it?
It IS very addictive...I can eat quite a small piece, but before long I'm back for another piece! I like it best when it's kept in the fridge. Not keen on chocolate oranges though. If anyone's interested, I found it was a lot cheaper in the co-op than tescos. Just wish I'd thought to call it "research" :)

(Your mention of only whiskas being safe from OH made me laugh...last winter my DS1 took me shopping when I had a slipped disc and couldn't manage on my own...I'm looking at the juice on one side of the aisle, he's looking at the other side, and he says to me "those tins of meat look really nice, can we get some of them?" Yeah, dog food...he's not ready to shop on his own :rotfl:)
*collapses in a heap in a corner* I made it throoooough my triple shift! Was up at 6am, oh the horror, I didnt know they made that hour still :rotfl:

It's the best time of day TG...yesterday I was up at 6 am, and on the road by 7, lovely and quiet, and probably the only time of day you can be guaranteed a parking spot on our high street...bliss!

Ooops, so busy catching up on all the posts I forgot what I came on to post!

Been trying to "eat up" some goodies to get them out the way before tomorrow...I know the logic's flawed, but anyway...

    Saturday
    B: cornflakes, sultanas, ss milk
    L: egg sandwiches
D: sweet and sour chicken, microwave chips
S: the last of THAT chocolate (meant to split Sat and Sun, but couldn't save it)...no more, no more!!!

    Sunday
    B: red berry granola
    L: tin of rice pudding
D: 5 slices pizza (SM half price, not takeaway)
    S: cornetto

Still to come...glass of wine whilst watching The White Queen...well, it'll go off if I leave it in the bottle too long, and it needs finishing off :o
(Seriously, does anyone know how long an opened (screw top) bottle of wine will keep okay?)

Can I join in too? :D I lost so much on this thread years ago but then lost my way, so time to make a come back I think.

I'd love to take part in this 13 week challenge. I'll have a think tonight and then decide in the morning how much. I've rather a lot to lose so I best get focused. :o

I'm around 20lbs into my weight loss so far this time... I'll check the exact amount tomorrow but I've been going up and down like a yoyo over the last month so not sure until I check my notes.

ellie - I've no idea how long it will keep in a fridge but it freezes well and will make great gravies. ;) That or you could suck a cube of it. :D
