Been much better today food and exercise wise.
Managed three dog walks (2 long, 1 short) and a 6km run at the gym.:j Am kn*ckered now though.:rotfl:
Had a nice healthy tea with lots of veg and some fruit with lunch so much better on the vitamin front. I've just made lunch for work tomorrow - lots of good stuff. Just need to not have the bad stuff too!0 -
Sorry Ellie, it's been beautiful all day here, people walking about in tee shirts! (Not me though, not that brave yet!)
To finish todays meals, for dinner I had a jacket with chilli and cheese with a 'salad' of two spinach leaves, 1/4 of a tomato and half a slice of cucumber which was all listed in the under 700cals menu.
I also had pud, a slice of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream. No tea though, not even the fruit snacks listed earlier, I think I'm having too much natural sugar. I only buy a packet of refined sugar about once every two years but I do eat a lot of fruit. Maybe celery/carrot sticks would be better to snack on?
It's forecast to rain tomorrow and I have a garden centre trip planned. Never mind, we'll put the world to rights over a cuppa (no biscuit) in the coffee shop0 -

Tee shirts eh? I had a tee shirt on...along with a vest, a fleece hoody, and an old gardening jacket (very fetching) and I still got rained on. The ice warning light was on in my car tonight...is it ever going to warm up?!

So after I batch prepared some risotto for the freezer I searched the cupboards and ended up making a small raspberry and coconut sandwich sponge cake. And of COURSE I had to sample it before giving some to neighbour.....
Of COURSE you had to sample it theatregirl...it's the law :rotfl:
And also very wise (I speak as someone who once made a huge batch of traybake for my sons school sale...and when we sampled it, discovered I had put salt in instead of sugar...thank goodness I found out in time :rotfl:)
I think I deserve to lose this week...got in after quite a stressful evening, and was wanting something nice...and I HALFED a bourbon biscuit...my sons can't believe I put half a biscuit back in the tin.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
you're doing better than me with the biscuits ellie99......cuppa tonight and DM got a whole packet and put them on the table...and we munched away until a fair amount of them were gone!
Still half a cake left in the kitchen too. Oh dear XD0 -
Hi All,
I am late in posting tonight.. Nothing special to report except that I had a busy weekend..
My neighbour across from me has huge sycamore trees, so much so, that I can't sit outside my front door in the summer as it is totally shaded... It's ok the now as there are no leaves on the trees yet.. Anyway, I woke up this morning to the sound of chainsaws... And, lo and behold, they were taking about 75% of each of the trees away.. That was a lovely surprise this morning! So we were busy, busy, busy taking all the large branches to store for next winter !!! So I am sitting here with an aching back...
Tonight's meal was roast pork with mashed potatoes with spinach, followed by strawberries and single cream... For lunch I had taken half a tiger loaf, sliced it in half long ways, scooped out all the soft dough inside (it went to the chooks) and then filled it up again with sliced tomatoes, cold ham, a drizzle of olive oil and seasoning... put some lettuce on my DH's bit and then sliced it half and we had them with a mug of tea....while we were seeing to the wood...
Bargain of yesterday was a keter storage box (for sun lounger cushions etc) which was reduced from £45 down to £15 as it had the fittings missing... I asked the wee chappie if he could check that was all, and we noticed the back panel had a broken bit... so he reduced it to £5.... They also had 15% off everything so I got it for £4.75... so tonight, we built it up, cut up a piece of wood to fill up the broken area and screwed the plastic onto that... As we made sure the repair was on the back side of it, it will never be seen so I have filled it up with my garden compost to stop it blowing away in the meantime :j:j PS, It never had any fittings to go missing !!!
I enjoyed reading everyone's posts tonight ... They made me smile... I was going to put that I had a smile on my face when I went to bed... but that might take on another meaning :rotfl::rotfl:
Catch up with you all again,
Sleep well.0 -
Hi All,
Today is a new day and the sun is shining (it isn't really!)
Anyway, as I have lost a bit of weight, I thought I would try on all the tops I have in the wardrobe.... Most of them haven't been worn as, when I was on steroids, I ate like a maniac, ...and put on a lot of weight...(So I am aware of the difficulty of keeping the weight down, Mrs Dragon, so hang on in there
)
I'm still seriously overweight, but I started at one end and most of the clothes and hanging really nicely on me and, in fact, are now too large... (They were a size 22) ... :j:j:j ... so I reckon I am now about a size 20.... Just think, maybe, maybe, maybe, I'll be into a size 18 before the end of the challenge !! No pressure there, then..... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I made myself a new kaftan style top and asked beloved what he thought.... (stupid mistake!) and he said that he had one criticism.... I thought, wait for it.... and he said that my jeans were hanging on me and looked all saggy and it was spoiling the look of the top !!! Therefore, the question is: Do I start taking in my clothes or do I wait until I have lost all of my excess fat (which I am going to do !) and then alter them all ???? I obviously don't want to throw them out as 75% of them have never been worn......
Your thoughts would be much appreciated..... and while you are thinking, I'm off to dig in the garden.....0 -
OfficeGuru, I would take them in now - and maybe once more and then get nice new ones again!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Thanks for that.. You know I have a new sewing machine and that I need all the practice I can get !!! I'll heed your advice and start altering them...
By the way, I am off to Milan in 4 weeks so I need to get down to the next size !!0 -
officeguru, I agree with The Dragon...take some of them in now, and get some enjoyment from wearing them and feeling good.
When you've lost ALL the weight, it's a great feeling to go shopping for some new things, even if it's just a few items. I remember really enjoying clothes shopping when I was slim.
How about the idea that was posted on here of putting away a pound for every pound lost, and saving up for new things?
PS... I hope you're doing proper gardening, and not digging up chocolate that's been thrown there in previous weeks...I recall you saying white toblerone showed up in the garden really well the following day...:rotfl:
