I've sort of surprised myself today
Some of you might remember that I set myself the personal challenge of not eating any chocolate bars this year because they are the biggest reason I'm overweight...
well, yesterday I was cooking for the family, and for dessert I did baked bananas stuffed with a couple of pieces of dark chocolate and a bit of golden syrup. Of course, I had no chocolate in the house so I had to buy a bar, and didn't use it all...so on my window sill is an open packet of chocolate...and I FORGOT about it!
And what's more, every time I boiled the kettle for one of my many mugs of tea, I looked at it sitting there, and thought "no, I don't want it just now".
I had to be out for a few hours tonight and missed the evening meal, so, yes, I had a square when I came in...so I may have spoiled my challenge, but I think it's the first time in my life I've ever had JUST ONE SQUARE.
I am amazed, 4 months ago I was hooked on the stuff...breaking that reliance on it feels great

A bit late posting today but I've been enjoying the Spring-like (daren't say just Spring yet!) weather, doing some tidying and weeding in 20 minute stretches.
B - F&F, ss milk
D - veg omelette, 1/2 sweet potato wedges. 1/2 nana in WW wrap with lf spread
T - salad sandwich with 2 slices Danish, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, grated cheese
S -melon, grapes, 1 plain/1 chocolate digestive biscuit
E - pottering in garden
Sweet dreams0 -
No, it was about toblerones being sold off for 1p by a certain supermarket...glad you missed it :rotfl:
Yeah, the nearer it gets to Friday, the better behaved I become :rotfl:
How could you have done this to me !!!! I could have carried on happy in my ignorance..:( You could have sent me a text at least or even phoned me... or you could have bought some and sent it up... or you could have put it in your bike basket and cycled a few hundred miles... What sort of friend are you ??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I've sort of surprised myself today

I'm sure it was me that joined you on the anti chocolate thingy..
To think that I could have had one triangle of toblerone...0 -
*runs in*
One mini bar of toblerone is only about 65 calories...single triangle is 50.....
 :rotfl:

Please forgive me, I have failed as a friend, I obviously underestimated your attachment to toblerone :rotfl:but I thought the top of your wardrobe was full :rotfl:
Next time I shall deliver a box personally and (a la Tesco deliveries) deliver to the room of your choice and put it on the top of your wardrobe myself (or should we skip that step and go straight to the bottom of the garden?) :j

afternoon all
wardrobe clean was successful I'm pleased to say - did end up throwing out a few old tops, really things that have been pushed to the bottom of drawers a while, things I'll never wear etc. We regularly get clothing collection bags through the door though so will donate the clothing with the next one we get. was a good workout for me as well with all the bending and sorting through :rotfl:
off out tonight for drinks and nibbles with a friend, so dinner is undecided until we find a decent watering hole to plop down in.
mealplan
b - special k honey clusters with ss milk
l - portion h/m stirfry, slice brown bread w/ spread
d - tbc
snacks - mini pack biscuits, jelly pot, rest tbc if any
e - walking to postbox & back (5 mins each way), cleaned bunnies and swept/tidied garden a teeny bit, plus walking a bit when out tonight.0 -
Today has been a bit of an odd food day - breakfast and lunch consisted of an assortments of biscuits and crackers - only 6 or so eaten, so nothing too much.
Tea has been eaten (to fit around shifts) and was a HM pasta bake with carrot, pepper, onion, tomato and tuna - yum yum yum!
However. It's Thursday, a notorious snacking day at work and I'm the provider of chocolate today - we'll see how well I can do!
Tbh though, given the amount of housework I have done today, along with dancing, and the active evening I should have at work, I could probably eat the whole pack and still be under my calorie allowance for the day!0 -
I love toblerone but not fruit and nut ones otherwise I would have been rushing to tesco!
I was on a course today which included lunch so not as good diet wise. Dinner last night was vegetable stew which was good. Breakfast was breakfast biscuits, then I had a melon starter, vegetable lasagne main, but had lots of veg and salad on the side, and vanilla cheesecake for pudding. I had a Special K chocolate biscuits thing for a snack and a strawberry winder on the way home. Got vegetable and lentil curry leftovers for dinner with some nan. Bit of a mixed day but I did resist all the biscuits that were on offer at the course.
Hope everyone else had a good day0 -
Just as well I'm not keen on chocolate otherwise I'd have cleared the shelves of Toblerone at that price. If it had been cheese no-one else would have got a look in!
B - F&F, ss milk
D - wholemeal spag with lots of veg, tomato & 2oz steak mince topping. Haven't had spag for about a year so over-estimated but means there's enough for tomorrow. Apple
T - 2 crackerbread spread w/ff yogurt, 1xrf garlic & chive philly, 1xscrape of marmalade. Scoop rf ice-cream
S - banana, satsuma, grapes, melon
E - washed & ironed net curtains, washed down all the window frames. Long siesta to follow
Good luck for tomorrow everyone0
