I could make it but I know that they wouldn't get eaten :rotfl::rotfl: we are better in the summer when we can snack on berries and grapes etc but they don't really have a great deal of flavour yet. We have been having ice lollies and smoothy lollies recently which has worked well. I have a massive sweet tooth!

Eye bright I often find goodies in our kitchen at work, so tempting!

I always like to finish with something sweet. How about small pots of frozen yoghurt? Make with fresh fruit. Small pots of creme caramel?
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

I think small is the key really isn't it. Rather than just buying big packs because they are cheaper; it doesn't work out cheaper if we just eat it all in one go and then buy more! :rotfl:

Anyone else find snacking in the evenings a big problem? Any suggestions on how to get out of the habit? Myself and my husband have got into the habit of sitting and munching our way through a big bag or crisps, biscuits, sweets or such like in the evening while watching tv.

Hi Em88, I don't think there's an easy answer to snacking, and different things work for different people. For myself, I found that replacing snacks with a healthier alternative just didn't work, because it felt like second best to what I really wanted. It was easier to cut snacks out all together...I have lots of big mugs of tea though!

It also helps to really think "Am I hungry?" and if I'm not, then it's a bit easier to not have something. The experts say to change a habit you should change the surrounding circumstances if you can...so actually get off the sofa, maybe go for a walk, or find a new hobby, or just sit in the garden instead...anything so you're not watching tv looking for a snack. (I'm not saying don't watch tv, I watch plenty, just try doing something different until you're not associating snacks with tv)
Let us know what works for you :)

Had a good day yesterday until about 9pm when I wa absolutely starving! Had 4 thin cheese biscuit things with verry thinly sliced mature cheddar - did the trick but probably not the best choice (yummy though!)

Just back from the gym and they were fine with the Groupon thing. Just had to show them the voucher and give them one of the ten coupons and show some photo id.

Did a full hour of cardio - running and cross training, was going to have a little dip in the pool too but there was a class in there, will do that tomorrow instead. Calories burned - over 500 :j:j No star jumps involved though!
Great value at £1.90 a go - never really had anything from Groupon before but would do this one again.:)

Ellie I definitely agree about asking myself 'am I hungry' I do try to do that as it does stop me quite often. There are other times where I choose not to ask myself as I know the answer is no! lol.

Just about to heat up some lentil soup for lunch, have also got a carrot, a strawberry fruit bar and some melon.

    afternoon all.

not a good day for driving today, so many inconsiderate people on the road, it just make me

hairdressers was a lovely experience, went in and they had a manic morning - and by the time I got there they were empty! :T So managed to get seen straight away, as they dont operate on an appointments basis. just had a basic wash and trim but feel better for the pampering.

anyhoo this afternoon (whats left of it) am going to spring clean my wardrobe! have one of those vacuum pack type bags so I can decompress all my sweaters/jumpers into it and make more space! dont think I'll be throwing anything out but I do need to give it ruddy good tidy! so that will be my exercise for the day :rotfl:

hope everyone is well and has decent weather where they are. <3

    mealplan:
b - 2 turkey rashers, 1 ww sausage, 1 large tomato, 1 large mushroom, slice wm bread w/ spread
l - 1 x plain bagel with cheese spread & lettuce, bag of crisps
d - tuna pasta with 1/2 tin sweetcorn, grated cheese on top, slice wm bread with spread
snacks - 2 x mini pack biscuits, pear, special k cereal bar, ww ice cream pot

    calories = 1536 :A

    Hi Ellie

I must have missed it :) It wasn't about the Post Office was it ????

I wrote on the forum this morning but for some reason it isn't there! It was just to say that I got my embroidery machine today and I am chuffed to bits... It took me an hour to plug it in because if it didn't work, there would be nothing I could do about it.. but it works fine..

It's like a new toy.. It will keep me busy for days trying to work it out.. It would keep me from munching in the evenings, that's for sure... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, I hope everyone is fine and keeping to the programme as it won't be long until weigh-in again ... I just thought I would mention it, in case anyone was wavering... :)

Have a good evening, everyone... and thanks for all your support !
