I did have pancakes, and was very strict getting a coffee spoon to measure out the sugar not a teaspoon - actually tasted better and very tangy. Also had a little cherry brandy sauce too - very tasty - on one of them.
Back to being sensible and logical with food being eaten at mealtimes only I think is the best way forward.

One of the biggest wakeup calls i have had is the calories in things like a triangle of T0bl3r0ne - makes little difference when you are burning 1000 calories a day at the gym or riding, but when you are say on your bum doing next door to nothing it makes a huge difference.

And on that note I have put on a pair of previously a bit too tight and not quite elegant trousers - whilst these are not perfect these are looking a LOT better and I can sit after eating in them without having to undo the top button!!!! That is a win!

Don't mention T0bl3r0ne, I've got 3 giant white chocolate ones up on top of my wardrobe and I ain't getting the step ladder out to go and get them...cause I would eat my way through them if I got the chance....

:Well done on the trousers... :beer

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday's food was so bad, I can't even confess it :o I'm really stressing about going on holiday on Monday - I'm a nervous flyer, which I know is no excuse..... At least it's a budget airline which means no food - bonus!

Today I have been slightly better:
B - 2 x ww wm toast, scraping of marg, morello cherry conserve
L - wm roll, cheese, tsp sweet chilli sauce, bag of baked A!di crisps
D - hm chilli con carne, rice
    S - 2 x hm twink biscs, A!di miniature choc stick

whitesatin - I agree with misslr in that carbs tend to slow me down in the afternoons. Are you drinking enough water - this could be a factor.

    Have a good evening everyone

Coxy11, yes, thanks, I drink a lot of water. I always have done as I don't really like other cold drinks. misslr, I will try what you suggest re the protein.

Thanks also to all who replied to my post. Interestingly, today I have not felt the need to have a nap but I think it is probably because I have been playing/painting/constructing/reading with an 18 month old and a 3 and 3/4 year old. They didn't give me a chance to be tired today. Bless them.

  • Hi All

It's lovely here as well... I've actually got the washing on the line and there is a nice breeze so it should be half-dried before I have to take it in... :j:j:j:j No energy getting burned up today shoveling snow !!!!

Not a lot to report except that I have the duck carcass left from yesterday... so I had a look online for a recipe for duck soup and lo & behold I found one that suited me down to a tea... :)

I duck carcass - therefore boiled it up to get the duck stock (2 cups)
1 large sweet potato (I was wondering what to do with it yesterday)
2 apples (I have had a cooking apple lying for about a month..)
    1 half of a leek
I also had a cooked potato leftover from last night so I popped it in as well...
    2 cloves of garlic
1 small handful of dried cranberries...
(I also had a couple of carrots in the fridge that had to be used up so they went in as well)

Boil the lot up (except the cranberries) and simmer until soft then add the cranberries... Wait a wee while until the cranberries have plumped up .... add 2 tbls of cornflour and then swizz the lot with a stick.....

    Then add
2 cups of milk and 1 cup of double cream....
    Salt and pepper to taste...

After it was all ready, I didn't worry too much about the cup of double cream as the quantity of soup fills my big pot... I think there would be enough there to feed 6-8 people so I'll live with the double cream (Also it was Emlea Light) so it wouldn't be as bad as the real thing....

Well, I'm off to do my exercising on the wii....

Take care all of you and enjoy the day !!!!

Well I have managed after being proper poorly to STOP eating just what I fancied and stuck for the last 2 days to the only what you have to eat for a meal plan.
As a consequence I am now nearly dribbling thinking of the hot chocolate souffle tonight after grilled chicken and salad. Oh yes that would be right, mid afternoon mind wandering munchies strikes again. Off to munch on an apple, or possibly a plum, or who knows ...both!

  • I am officially sneaking back in with my tail well and truly between my legs - please feel free to rub my nose in the poop that has been my food for the past few weeks.:o:o:o:o:o

I looked at myself in the bath this evening and even though I am pre menstrual and all swollen up I have also put some weight on I think. I'll weigh tomorrow to see what the damage is for sure but there can be no escape from the lard that I have been scoffing. Work has been sooo manic that everything else including looking after myself with food and exercise has just been forgotten.

So, its time to draw a line under it and haul myself back on the wagon time before things get really out of hand. I need to get a grip!

So as of tomorrow ladies I'm back with you - promise!

Just off to make a packed lunch for school - no more school dinners for me!

    Please have me back......

    Hi WelshWoofer

I couldn't count the number of times I have fell off the wagon so to speak... I think the secret is getting back on it again. But this time, I am going to do it... and it's going to stay off for good... That's why I've devised an eating plan that works for me so that I'll be able to stay on it until I'm boxed ...

We're all in it together and we're here to help each other...

    Take care and sleep well...:)

Hi WW, delighted to have you back :D.

We all fall off the wagon now and then, my guilty secret for today is I had 4 squares of chocolate this afternoon and apple pie and ice cream for tea. The ice cream was rf though, so that's alright, isn't it?
