evening all I have come hanging my head in complete shame and feeling very very guilty.... All was going well eating wise up until today. Had the worst day back in work ... Only just finished & had a KFC on the way hope. I could actually cry I'm so annoyed with myself.

Why oh why do I sabotage myself :(

Any ideas what meals I can do when home later from work than expected and to tired to cook x

I often make an extra portion of something like spag bol, a curry, soup or chilli - anything that can be just put in the microwave frozen and cooked within 10 mins. A jaclet spud and beans is also quick and filling.
My all time lazy "good" tea is a microwaved homemade curry and frozen rice (Birds Eye Fusions, microwaved in 3 mins).
If I'm desperate a portion of the egg fried rice on its own flung in the microwave is a life saver (265 cals and fills you up whilst you unwind).

With regards to MFP - I try to keep within 1250 cals of food and if I'm having a particularly hungry day I'll have half or more of my exercise cals too (not always though).

Thank you all for your ideas ..,

I do meal plan generally just been disorganised with going back to work on a Thursday!!

Putting meals in freezer as HM ready meals is a great idea and I think the way forwards. There is only DH & I .... We both wok at same place so car share so if I'm late in work he has to wait & vice versa.

I'm a compliance manager for a big bank  so VERY busy & VERY pressurised!

I think when it comes to food & eating work is my enemy... I rarely have time for breakfast and lunch is a grab &go (HM and getting better) and well look what's happened after 1 bad day no wonder I'm the size I am!!!!!!!

*MUST REMEMBER ITS ONE DAY AND DON'T LET IT DE RAIL ME*
Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

Like you say its just a blip. I'm always thinking ahead and it annoys me sometimes...cooking tea and making the sandwiches/packed lunches for the next day...we're always planning the next meal!

If I make mashed potato (which the kids love) I try and make extra and then put it in the fridge for the next meal.

Double batch cook and then you can feeze some and you have a ready meal from the freezer.

Have you got a slow cooker? I love mine and use it once a week at least for casseroles, try & prep the veg the night before to save time!

Was really looking forward toThe Biggest Lose Uk for inspiration but it's been axed!

Oh no. I love Biggest Loser. Don't think it's really been the same since Angie was replaced. I have the Biggest Loser workout and she features on it. She was formidable and is a great inspiration when watching the DVD.

Can I rejoin this challenge? I did join last year but let things go with Christmas coming but need to get back to it. Am going to have a look at my fitness pal as well.

Can I put down for 8lbs over the 12 weeks?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • Hello :)

Well, I've had a busy couple of days - worked 12 hours both days, and it's hard to stick to a calorie goal when you've already had breakfast, lunch and a snack by 10am....hopefully my eating will have been counteracted by all the running about in work!

Yesterday morning I had porridge made with water for breakfast and it was grim! Just like a grey paste. So today I made my porridge with semi skimmed milk and a touch of honey and it was so much nicer! It's really not worth feeling like you live in a prison camp, it'll probably make you more likely to crack later on in the day.

I'm really surprised by how little some of you can get by on, and why I have such a ravenous appetite for such a little person:rotfl:greed maybe??

I need to focus on no lattes at work as had my first one of 2013 today!
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • B - Cereal with soya milk
D - Beans on toast, mince pie
T - Fish and veg bake
    S - Apple, pear, 6 quality street

Have not looked at calories as I find that difficult to do psychologically.

It usually takes me a week or two to get my head around starting on a diet and this is only week one
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
