I'm back in the land of the living,:rotfl: this viral thing really does make you feel pants, and crave lots of carbs, well thats my excuse and this week I'm sticking to it.;) (I had 3 pieces of choc cake and 4 slices of toast yesterday:eek:, so glad Dragon is away, or I'd be singed)

    STS for me this week

    Todays plan:
B: usual hf cereal and fruit
L: hm spicy parsnip soup, one bread, small piece of cheese
D: hm veg soup, hm cottage pie with swede/carrot topping and veg
S: banana, yoghurt, hot choc drink
    Ex: dog walking

Todays mantra: I will not eat cake, I will not eat cake.
Success is a journey, not a destination

    Hi again,

Chin up to all those struggling - I've been there SO many times. Fed up that nothing in the wardrobe fits me, then stuffing my face with crisps, sweets - reverse psychology. It's even harder at TOTM and when ill, so don't be too hard on yourselves.

    My food for today:

B - 2 x ww toast, scraping of marg, scraping of hedgerow jam
    S - pink lady apple
L - 2 x ww bread, 1/3 tin tuna mixed with a little mayo, ready salted crisps
    S - curly wurly :o
D - hm pizza - I'm going to have a little pepperoni, some ham and some sweetcorn on mine.

    Have a good day all

Yes I remember good old 'Enry! The advert was better than the stuff he 'spashed all over' though, lol! Didn't Barry Sheen do an advert as well?

Just back from 3 days in the Lake District with DH. Went to see Pam Ayres on Wed night - she was full of cold but carried on like the real trouper she is, and was fantastic :T

Tried, not very successfully, to watch what I ate :o but some of the portions were huge  and as I'd paid for them, well you have to do your best, don't you :o That sounds like I was a real piggy! The choices were fairly good but far too much to eat.

Had to be up and out early today so didn't have time to weigh-in. (Thankfully) Will try to remember to do so in the morning. Not expecting a loss - will be happy to sts this week.

I've another STS to report this week so am not doing well at all - still 3lb heavier than at the start of the challenge! I think I shall have to start calorie counting again as I am obviously eating too much.

B: Glass of semi skimmed milk
L: 2 poached eggs on dry toast. HM chocolate mousse
D: (Pack up for work) Prawn mayonnaise salad. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt

Exercise: 1 hour stability ball class. About 2 miles of walking.

    Morning All

Yeah…..finally…….after weeks of sts….½ lb….¾lb….I can finally report a full 1lb loss :j – never mind the tortoise and hare story, things have ground to a snails pace here. I’m beginning to wonder if my body has decided that I’ve reached my limit and it refuses to go any lower.

I’ve been trying to cut out carbs and fat as much as possible, only having the odd slice of bread, can’t remember the last time I had pasta and maybe only have potatoes/oven chips once or twice a month. I know I need to up the exercise routine but I’m really struggling to get motivated and always manage to find something else to do – one of these days!!

Hope you all have a good day.

Maybe you're not eating enough fat? Seriously! We're all different and some of us respond better to different things. But one thing Atkins worked out for those who can't lose weight even on his induction phase is a fat fast. T'other thing is to make sure you're drinking enough.

Dragon I've lost 1lb, could you put me down as having got back to 0 please? Hopefully all movement will e downwards from now on. :D
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
    48 down, 22 to go
Low carb, low oxalate Primal + dairy
From size 24 to 16 and now stuck...

I wondered about that but also that I'm not eating enough protein - I've been eating a lot of veggie-style food, mostly veg cause I love them, but perhaps not replacing the meat with enough beans/lentils.

It's a double edged sword for me as I'm trying to reduce my outgoings for a month or two and been using up what I have in stock - but today I've raided the freezer and am as I type cooking up a Turkey Loaf to have with some hm tomato sauce & veg but may throw a few oven chips in there as well.

Its all off for now - his dad got rushed into hospital today and it sounds quite serious so understandly we're postponing it.:(

Never mind - some things are more important.

I need to keep this weight though because it will happen sooner or later.....
Will shimmy round the house eating pizza and dancing with the dog instead:rotfl:
