Afternoon Everyone
Had a busy morning in the kitchen – making yoghurt for my breakfasts and all sorts of concoctions with the 69p sweet potatoes I got from @ldi.
Because of my GC I am even doing a rough break-down of the costs (how sad am I) but I’ve rustled up 4 portions of Sweet Potato & Red pepper Soup, a handful of lentils & spiced up with some chilli & cumin total cost = 77p (19¼p per portion). Also did 2 portions of Sweet Potato & Pineapple Curry – total about 72p (36p per portion). No fat was harmed in the making of these- so they should be pretty low cal that is unless I put some cream in them
.
The curry will be left to prove overnight and the soup for another day as I had already taken stuff from the freezer for today.
B – Yoghurt & Stewed Pears
L – Butternut Squash Soup
D – Stir-fry rice with Prawns & VegDid weigh in this morning as I'm leaving at silly o'clock tomorrow morning, another STS,
Got that - have a lovely weekend away - hope it stays sunny for youJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Afternoon all,
A good day for me. Spent the morning cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and listing everything I have. Determined to only buy fresh bits and bobs until we go away.
I didn't fancy much this morning so just had toast and marmalade about elevinsh.
Will have my tea around five which will be fish, salad and a small portion of pasta. Fruit and yoghurt to follow. I found around 8 packets of sugar free jelly this morning so will make a dessert I often do which is make up the jelly as normal then pour 3/4 into 4 small bowls save a quarter of the mixture and mix with a LF yoghurt. Allow the 4 bowls to set and then top with the yoghurt mixture and allow to set. This is the only way I can eat yoghurt so works for me.
This afternoon been out for a run and then have made a large chicken and chorizo stew which I will allow to cool and freeze. I have family coming on Saturday so this will be served with rice and it's healthy and I can join in.
Need2bthrifty sounds like you have had a good cooking day, red pepper and sweet potato soup sounds delish
Sparrer I'm the same as you I like the house nice and clean when I go away, I always wash the bedding so it's clean when we come back, it's not as if anyone is sleeping in it whilst we are away lol
Anyway enough waffle have a good evening all:)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

So many people talk about how expensive it is to stay fit and eat healthy. i started my journey in March of this year and have been able to find great home workouts that don't require a lot of equipment and definitely no pricey gym membership! miraclesexpected.com in addition I have been able to build a great support team across the country who keep me inspired and are always offering great tips. Its not hard to or expensive to make health and wellness your lifestyle when you are determined to succeed.0

Not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. Already feeling the heat of Dragon's flames

Good Morning :santa2::santa2:
Im not gonna weigh-in today although am still on the challenge. I have had a dose of steroids so not sure how that affects my weight.
I am more or less stable this week though so hopefully i will have a good result next week x
Good luck xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning All
Yeah…..finally…….after weeks of sts….½ lb….¾lb….I can finally report a full 1lb loss :j – never mind the tortoise and hare story, things have ground to a snails pace here. I’m beginning to wonder if my body has decided that I’ve reached my limit and it refuses to go any lower.
I’ve been trying to cut out carbs and fat as much as possible, only having the odd slice of bread, can’t remember the last time I had pasta and maybe only have potatoes/oven chips once or twice a month. I know I need to up the exercise routine but I’m really struggling to get motivated and always manage to find something else to do – one of these days!!
Hope you all have a good day.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Morning all,
Very very very pleased to report a 4lb loss this week :j:j
I'm over the moon. I've tried really hard to calorie count (sorry I know that's not strictly allowed on here) and try to stick to about 1200-1300 a day. Had no idea before this week that an average banana is 100 cals eeek. Resisted the temptation last night at 9.30am to scoff a bag of crisps, instead settling for a can of diet pop!
Hoping I can keep this up as I still have a muffin top hanging over my jeans
Have a good day everyone
