Not good here in Dragonland, I spent all of yesterday afternoon and most of today throwing up, shaking with stress and feeling suicidal (oh and overnight 8 s*dding pounds went on :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:), bliddy ATOS
Poor you! Hope you feel a bit better today? Those 8lbs are just stress lbs - in times of crisis the body joins in and hangs on to whatever it can in case of emergency - water, fat, poo....the list goes on. They'll go again.Need2bthrifty wrote: »Afternoon all,
I had to be out early this morning for a hairdresser appointment so I missed breakfast. Don’t you just hate breaking in a new stylist, my usual hairdresser is on maternity leave and this one is just not getting to grips with my hair!!
Breaking one in - made me visualise you with a lasso and training whip! Yee ha!
Been to work for the morning even though its half term - got paid extra for a revision session though - and took a bag of treat size chocs for the kids and managed to stick to just 2 teeny bars for me.
Just had a bagel and choc philly for much and about to go off on a long walk with the woofer.
Not sure about tea yet - might make a chickpea curry - will see how I feel later.0 -
Afternoon all
Hope everyone is staying warm - although its bright here it's quite cold as well.
Last two days have gone quite well with regards to meals, hoping to keep it up as I have a slack week at work but hoping to get in some more exercise by walking to shops, doing jobs and bits like that to compensate.
Found these crisps in Mr T's yesterday called Velvet Crunch - has anyone else seen them? Are they are a new thing or have I been blind to them previously? They come in a couple different flavours (I bought the S+V ones) and are only 84 cals a pack. :j

I'm sat here toasty in my new toy from Lidl - a £20 heated wrap. Have to say it's ******* marvellous. It always makes a difference if you can keep your torso toasty
Foodwise I think I've given up, but I can get my blood test done tomorrow and start getting back to normal YAYEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

hope you are feeling better dragon, hate it when anxiety strikes, it's so debilitating.
I have been very, very bad foodwise in the last 24hrs. Baked brownies with the kids yesterday and it went down-hill from the first taste. Daren't even list my food, in case you all put weight on just reading it.

L - 2 x ww toast, mushrooms cooked in fry l!ght
S - 2 x p!nk & whites

We are currently doing a Christmas challenge:santa2::santa2::santa2:
The Dragon is our esteemed leader. She collates all the losses, STS (very important) and gains each week. We generally weigh-in on a Friday but it could be Saturday or any day really. If you have a think about a realistic weight loss between now and Christmas - I think it is about 8 weeks :eek::eek:
We mark our goals in red and weigh-ins too.
We are a very friendly bunch:j:j:jI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all
OH working from home today as we're going to give notice of marriage this morning
always much harder to be 'good' when he's here so I need to be strict today.
Monday's food -
B - a few spoonfuls of leftover cold soya custard (I know, I know....I had a healthy breakfast planned but started doing housework and sort of forgot...then just grabbed this as I was clearing out the fridge)
L - an Uncle Ben's veg and rice pot, surprisingly nice but over 300 cals, a bit much for lunch
D - leftover roast beef, potato and parsnip mash, peas, gravy, stuffing. Too big a portion...
At least there was no snacking! I did no formal exercise but I was moving around literally the entire day - from 6am to 5pm I didn't sit down, even to eat my lunch (I ate it while standing over the stove fretting about my chilli jam...which turned out beautifully in the end!) I did loads of ironing and instead of making a pile I forced myself to take each item upstairs individually - between that and general tidying and housework, I did the stairs dozens and dozens of times and most times i ran up them. I was aching by the time I sat down with a cup of tea at 5pm so I think I must have burned some cals! But all my housework and chores are done now and I can relax a bit for the rest of half term, so I should be able to get on the treadmill or do a DVD.
Hope everyone else is going well this week!0
