Morning all.
Rosetta - oh, me too on the cheese front - it's such scrummy stuff, isn't it? I've never found a LF cheese that's nearly as nice as the real thing, so I'll just have to keep my portions small instead.
It's interesting to read about people's experience with pilates as a colleague at work was enthusing over her weekly classes the other day - I might look around and see if there's a beginners' class anywhere near me and give it a go.
Today for me goes:
B - porridge (half SS milk, half water) with dried cranberries, a handful of flaked almonds and 1 1/2 tsp of brown sugar (very yum indeed)
S - handful of honey-roasted almonds and a carton of tropical fruit juice (eaten in the hope the sugar would make me feel less wobbly after a minor surgical procedure - it didn't work, but it tasted nice anyway)
L - pork, stuffing and mustard sandwich; a mug of instant soup if I've got any in the cupboard; bunch of grapes
S - (if I need one, which I shouldn't) a few dates
D - roast gem squash stuffed with veg chilli, with a weeny bit of smoked cheese grated over (more because I need to use it up before it goes mouldy than for any other reason)
Exercise - I might try going for a walk a bit later - I'm feeling very off-colour at the moment and don't want to risk leaving the house as collapsing on the pavement might be a tiny bit embarrassing.
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Dragon that's the old you, and the new you is waiting to come out. You're doing really well, keep up the good work :j I do my measurements once a month or so, and I was surprised to see a real difference after about half a stone, I found it quite motivating.
CCP, we use the Davistow rf cheddar, and i can't really tell the difference. I've bought the pilgrims choice one this week as it was on offer in tescos, I'll report back when we've used some
edit: forgot to add my lunch - pasta salad with peppers, rocket and grated carrot, wotsits and some grapesLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

my big news (well its big for me) is that ive found a way to get to the gym in work time (all above board) which saves me a huge amount of stress trying to fit it in at 8.30pm. tried it out today and was able to do 25mins on the crosstrainer and still get back to the office in reasonable time :j:j am hoping to fit this in twice a week and them still go on a weekend.
have also realised that ive got to stop being a greedy guts and focus on my portion size

quinoa with peppers, cucumber, toms, celery & a small amount of feta

Afternoon
Have had a tummy bug on and off over the last few days. Sunday night I missed dinner as I was in quite a bit of pain from waist down with it , but ate more normally yesterday. Today I am feeling better than I was so...
Breakfast: F&F + SS milk
Lunch: 2 soft boiled eggs with a homemeade bap (no butter)
Dinner: Grilled Kipper with new pots and lots of veg
Snack: 1 orange
I only drink water and don't eat after 5-6pm.
Will do some measuring and add mine on here tomorrow to keep track.
Hope you are all having a good day and keeping to your plans

Snacks, 1 apple, 1 treat sized crunchie, 1 oat and honey biscuitSummer weightloss challenge

The Dragon don't put yourself down like that. Being 'overweight' doesn't = a 'horrible slob'. You will feel and look better, bit by bit.
My meals for today are -
B - porridge [made with dried fruit and flavoured with cinammon. This made it taste so much nicer]
L - wholemeal pitta, LF cottage cheese, cherry tomatoes and slices of red pepper and onion. 2 clementines
D -nut roast, broccoli, carrots, peas. tinned peaches with LF greek yoghurt
S's - 2 custard creams,1 cream cracker with LF cottage cheese.
Have been swimming, I lost count due to a couple of crazy little old dears in the pool, but did get quite a good swim in the end. I swam for over an hour with plenty of backstroke lengths , which is great because I love the way it tones up my stomach.
Have a good evening everyone.0 -
Hello all can I join in please.
I'm 5ft 3 1/2 inches tall, mid 40's and weighed myself at 12 st 5 lbs
I would like to lose weight for the summer, none of my clothes fit.
I do have some lovely clothes, from a few years ago when I got down to 9 st 4 lbs after following low carb.
Have decided to aim for 4-5 lbs off a month...seems a doable goal, I've just become a Grandma and want to see LO grow up..there is a family history of dying young....usually weight related! So quite an incentive there.
Have decided to eat regular healthy food. today ...
Breakfast, porriage, with half an apple and half a bannana ( OH had the other half LOL )
Lunch, lean pork, with low fat homemade chips (part boiled and baked with fry light) with leeks, red cabbage and red pepper, with gravy.
Dinner, a large salad, with rice and sardines.
Snacks, apple, clemantine and bannana.
treat, not sure yet probably a highlights drink. Maybe a low fat yogurt. Or maybe an after eight mint (christmas left overs)
Really inspiring to see how well everyone on hear is doing, I hope to follow your lead.
All the best for 2012 weight loss to everyone.:TJue0 -

I plan to have it for some lunches at work next week.
Cheers!

You're very welcome! I made a double batch today for the very same reason.0 -
Well had no breakfast again. Naughty me- this will pick up once I've been shopping at the weekend.
Lunch- pork and stuffing sandwich and dinner- meatballs pasta and tomato sauce.
Was going to get one of my DVDs out to exercised tonight but some friends popped round last minute for a cuppa and then I had to get round to batch cooking my tomato sauce and also some French onion soup. Think all that onion chopping must have don't something for my arms!
Will see if Ivan motivate myself to do some after dinner but I doubt I will. I find I need to do it as soon as I get home because once I've sat down I never want to get up- anyone else have that problem?0 -
[QUOTE=mazzzy;50004481D. (Main meal at lunch time today) 3oz roast beef, cauliflower, carrots, 2 parsnips, half a roast potato. No gravy as I have yet to make a decent GF gravy
Hi. My husband has to have a GF diet and I use Bisto best, but it does have lactose in from memory so no good if you need dairy free too.0
