Oh dear, I really shouldn't be left at home alone with the huge tray of almond biscuits. I didn't do too badly yesterday when DH was arounf, but today he's back at work and it's just me and them!
We were given them as a christmas present wrapped up in a beautiful flan dish. I want to use the dish and was putting biccies in a tin bit seem to have done one for the tin and 1 for me!! Have managed to eat about 5 of them and now feel rather guilty :eek: I've got to go into work tomorrow for meeting with ocupational heath to sort out my return to work... think I might try and go and do half an hour in the pool after to try and burn them off again!!:j

Hi. I am hoping to join your thread but my lack of IT knowledge is holding me back..! How do you enter your weight losses? How do you all show figures like challenge totals at the bottom of your threads? They seem to come after the main body of your messages and I don't know how to do it. Please be gentle with me!!
Thanks
HI Klug welcome to the thread, if you want to join the challenge read the first page (if you haven't already) then post your target and I'll add you to the list.

Here's the nigella fajita spice recipe:
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sea salt or 0.5 pouring salt
0.5 tsp sugar
1 tbsp garlic oil
2 tbsp lime juice
Add ingredients to 2 sliced chicken breast and mix to coat before cooking.
When I used it I'd already cooked the chicken then realised we didn't have a spice sachet, so I just mixed the dry ingredients and added to the cooked chicken with a squeeze if lime which is what I do with the normal mix! Tasted fine and I don't think the garlic oil is necessary. It had a more subtle flavour than some of the ready made ones, probably more authenticLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Evening All,
I've had a busy day as I worked this afternoon and am back again at 7pm. I was due to start work at 1.30 but DS rang and asked me in for 1 so had to quickly rustle up a cooked lunch as I knew I wouldn't feel like cooking when I got in with going out again later.
B: Mandarin oranges with the juice drained off
L: Chicken and mushrooms in a cremefraiche, garlic and dill sauce served with green beans.
T: Chicken sandwich made with HM bread and butter. 2 small leftover chocolate cornflake cakes.
Exercise: 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels 'Ripped in 30' DVD. Walk to bank and back, plus walk to work and back so about 2 and a half miles in total.

Cheddar cheese is about 115 calories/ounce. The only problem with that is that an ounce of cheese is quite a small amount.
I eat quite a bit of cheese [being vegetarian], I have found a nice LF mature cheddar in Tesco's, also I like feta light and haloumi light.
Yikes :eek::eek::eek:
Wish I'd known that before I switched my lunchtime salad for two slices of toast with stilton. Still trying to finish it off from Christmas.
I like feta and haloumi so I'll try to have them more often instead. Also heard Edam was a bit lower in calories than cheddar. But overall - seriously need to cut the cheese
Now trying to do better with a snack of banana and herbal tea.
Thanks for letting me know. Next stop the link to the calorie counter ...0 -
Thanks for the spice mix recipes. Might try them both and see which one I prefer and will report back. They're our go to easy dinner so have them fairly frequently.
Just got back from mil who forked out £30(!) for some Zumba DVDs of some shopping channel. Spent just over an hour going through the basics training and then I managed about 5 mins of the actual beginner work out- I put it down to being so tired from practicing the steps. Quite enjoyed it though and we're going to do it together twice a week to egg each other on.0 -

I do pilates every week, advised by my consultant to help my back injury heal. I really enoy it, great for my posture and core muscle strength, and I always feel well stretched and exercised afterwards. I think yoga is similar, but probably a.bit.more relaxing, some pilates exercises are quite strenuous!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Measure Up!
Just wanted to remind everyone (and myself!) that measurements can be as important, and motivating, as weight. Take your measurements now, then maybe halfway through and at the end and you will see how many inches/cm have dropped off. I think I will measure in cm, more numbers to go down!
The main ones are waist, thighs and upper arm, but you can also measure your bust, chest, hips and calves.
Oh Nooooooo! I dreaded the moment you remembered to mention it ragz . Will do it in the morning after my shower, in the hope that the steamy bathroom will have sweated off a fraction of an inch.
Really happy to see you back CCP, thanks again for introducing me to the thread, I'm lovin' it0
