Hey CCP , glad to see you back.
I must do some exercises today, I really must! Have a good start to the week everyone.
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Morning all
I have started my healthy eating plan again yesterday .. after feeling rubbish last week i didnt want to be bothered counting calories and instead felt i needed food in order for me to get rid of the cold which appeared. I am feeling much better now after some R & R and started healthy eating again yesterday
So far so good, i managed to avoid sweet treats yesterday (despite me still have a cupboard of treats)
Todays menu -
B - 50g of cornflakes with skimmed milk, one mug of tea
L - HM chicken casserole - potatoes/carrotts/parsnips/chicken cooked in gravy in the slow cooker on saturday .. It is low in cals, filling and YUMMY
D - Quorn mince , onions, mushrooms and frozen veggies cooked in gravy (again) and am thinking of making a carrott mash (so this way i am avoiding rice and eating more potato)
Snacks - low fat custard pot, packet of strawberry frootz buttons and 20g of dry roasted peanuts.
Drinks- skimmed milk with tea/decaff coffee (no sugar in either) , and also probably peppermint tea/cherries & berries no added sugar squash :A
Excercise - I have cycled to work this morning, so all round trip will be just under 6 miles.
Happy Monday one & all

Morning everyone. Can I join pleace? I'd like to lose 1stone 5 lbs by half term in February. At the same time however I need to empty my freezer and feed my children! Am going to do this by exercising and by eating less. I have already bought a smaller sized plate and will be using the local sunday market to buy fruit and veggies to help. First day of school today, so first day of my new life!!
Hi there and welcome to the thread. Just wanted to warn you your target is higher than the recommended healthy weight loss of 1/2-2lb a week. Half term is in 5 weeks time, so I wouldn't advise trying for more than 10-12lbs, even if you lost a fair amount of retained water in your first week. Our New Year challenge runs for 13 weeks until Easter, I'd be happy to put you down for the full 19lbs by then if you like?
CCP - so great to see you back!
Rainbowfairydust - welcome to the thread. So your target is 17lbs for the challenge? Can you confirm and I'll add you to the list.
Up2myeyesinit - well done, great start!
I had failed flapjack (too dry and overcooked so it crumbled) with milk for breakfast... yummy! Will have LO leek and potato soup for lunch and spaghetti bolognese for dinner. Will try to hide plenty of veg in it!
Swimming tonight, will aim for 70 lengths again. Walked to school and will again this afternoon, total of 2 miles pushing buggy!
Have a happy healthy day everyone!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hello ragz - I didn't realise there was a challenge on at the moment - that's quite convenient as it gives me something to aim for.
Can you put me down for 11lb by Easter, please - that will take me back to just under where I was when I left the thread last year.
[For my own reference - starting weight (today) 87.2kg, target 82.2kg.]Back after a very long break!0 -
Rainbowfairydust - welcome to the thread. So your target is 17lbs for the challenge? Can you confirm and I'll add you to the list.

Hi
I swapped my daily sandwich at lunchtimes to soup last year and this helped me a lot with losing weight. I still do this now and find that it fills me up much more than a sandwich. The soup is homemade and on a Monday night I make two batches - one for tea (so, yes I have soup twice on Mondays but they are always different flavours and the evening one I have homemade bread with) and the other which I portion and put into the freezer for the week.
So todays menu is this:
B - cereal with ss milk and a glass of fruit juice
L - HM pea & mint soup and a yogurt (no fruit today as had run out!)
D - HM leek & potato soup with hm bread
S - milky coffee and one biscuit - this is my treat to myself!!Me, DH, DS10 and DS60 -
Hello can I join please? I am at 12 stone which is a bit much for my tiny 5' self so really need to lose some weight. Have put on about 3 stone since meeting my oh about 3 years ago - the perils of happiness eh? We have been engaged for nearly a year ad need to start planning the wedding but am dreading dress shopping at this size- my dads gf also nicely told me that I nee to lose weight for the wedding as well (she's lovely! Ha)
Today I've eaten a pork sandwich with hm apple sauce and stuffing which was left over from last nights dinner ad a packet of crisps (didn't have anything else to bulk out my lunch and need to be eaten)
I don't eat breakfast- I hate eating straight after getting up and don't want to get up earlier. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could take to work and eat at my desk first thing- something 'dry' preferably.0
