    Afternoon all :)

minicooper I think the majority of us plateau from time to time. There are all sorts of ways people try to break through it, my primary on is to read Paul McK's 'I Can Make You Thin' which I think is the best book on the market. Changing your menu's, upping the exercise, eating your main meal at lunchtime if possible (which is what I do as I'm retired, fortunately :D) and a smaller meal in the evening, even changing your attitude, ie not feeling guilty when you have a treat and accepting that it is allowed! Obvious things like cutting down portion sizes, removing skin from meat, eating slowly, not eating in front of the television so you focus on your meal...others will come in with more suggestions I'm sure but these are some of the things I try.

    B - porridge, sk milk
D - egg, tomato, mushrooms, rasher bacon, Cumberland sausage, fried new potatoes. Rhubarb crumble with ice cream. It's the weekend ;)
    T - crackers w/marmite, cheese&pickle, marmalade
    S - apple, melon, grapefruit
    E - 45 mins gym this morning, 15 mins step/weights this afternoon

Have a sunny rest of the day, the forecast go it totally wrong here. It's dry and almost hot! :)

Well, yesterday might as well be a write off (the first one so far) - at the prom I had tomato soup (with a roll:o), tagliatelle in a cream sauce with green veg and 2 spoonfuls of sticky toffee pudding (passed the rest on to a greedy friend;)). Only half a glass of wine as I was driving so it could have been worse but I was at the mercy of the caterers.

Lets forget about it and start again today.....

    So todays food....

Breakfast - cereal bar (100 cals)
Lunch - packet of quorn bits (100 cals), 5 cheese thins (105 cals) just fancied them:o
Tea - chana masala (320 cals) wholewheat pitta bread (145 cals)
    Thats 770 cals so far

Need to compensate a little bit today for the excesses of yesterday (no lunch so biscuits instead and prom dinner) so will try to stay within 1100 cals today. Meaning 330 cals to go.

I will have strawberries and a choc mousse later and then there's room for a little snack watching a movie if needed.

No exercise today other than shopping, cleaning whole house, walking dog x2 - done lots of school work though.... (not very calorie burning though:p).

Ok, I've had a think about how to change my eating habits.
    1. I'm going to use a smaller plate for my meals, but still have the same food as everyone else.
    2. I will stop eating as many cakes and biscuits. I will allow myself one biscuit or a small cake as a pudding after my main meal, but not every day.
    3. I will eat less at supper time.
    4. I will eat more fruit and veg.

    So today:
B- berry cereal, yog, honey, milk & water (I have a decent breakfast so it will last me until I get my lunch at work - sometimes 2.30 or even later on busy days)
    Tea at work
L - tuna mayo & sweetcorn sandwich, banana, tea
    More tea and water
D - roasted veg cous cous, chopped red pepper, cucumber, tomato and plain cottage cheese, choc mousse, tea
Supper will be fruit and maybe a slice of toast and orange juice.

    150g sock yarn = 3 coupons
Lined trousers = 6 coupons ...total 9/66 used
    2 t-shirts = 8 coupons
    Trousers = 6 coupons ... total 23/66
    2 cardigans = 10 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/66
    Nightie = 6 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 49/66

    Evening everyone.

After my disastrous few weeks I'm having a few days off my diet. With all that happened last month and having to feed extra mouths I've run out of money for June (till Wednesday)

So DH has made up his own meal plan till Wednesday and gone and bought all the stuff and is cooking all the meals till then. He spent £90 on in all but Wow!! What a holiday:) So I'm not complaining about any of it despite the fact that there are some very fattening foods, such as scones, jam and cream.

Actually I think this few day break is probably what I need. So I'll catch up again with you all on Wednesday.

I try and make sure I get plenty of fruit and veg into my daily meals.

I have a small glass of orange juice with breakfast and then I have an orange as a snack in the evenings. Plus I also buy carrots and celery to snack on if I get desperate :-D

    Saturday's meals were:

B - Skipped as got up late
    L - Pasta & Cheese
D - Home made oven chips

Also had a small portion of home made chips as an evening snack with the fella and his mate. Had a couple of glasses of orange juice, and an ice lolly (no ice cream, it was one of those double ones).

I'm 117 calories UNDER target. . . so I am a happy bunny tonight. It's the first time in a while that I have been under my limit. I'm normally bang on or slightly over.

Not sure on tomorrows meals, hoping to have home made soup for lunch if I remember to put the lentils in to soak before bed.

:-D I hate Sundays, the week looks so long on a Sunday. It seems like ages away until Friday's weigh day .. I spend all week resisting the temptation to check my weight on the scales.

I'm going to give it another week or two and then start to up my exercise. I don't actually do any at the minute as my back is mega painful most of the time (very bad sciatica).. but I want to start adding in some time on Wii Sports Tennis. Even if it's only five or ten minutes a day to begin with.

I have a few mini goals now

1 - keep within the calorie limit
2 - get up to losing 5lbs a week, every week
3 - get up to doing half an hour minimum on Wii Tennis daily.

    :-D

**peeps in shame faced and hungover***

Well I went out last night with my OH and another couple, we went to see a band who were rubbish (sorry no sugar coating!) and then went for a late night curry :eek:which was also rubbish . Its a shame really as I was looking forward to a nice curry!!

Here is the disaster that was yesterday:

    B: 2 x toast, 2 x boiled eggs, butter
S: HG strawberries, peach and yogurt (togther in a bowl)
L: HM 1/2 bagette with low mayo, grated chesse and carrot plus cucumber, packets of salt & vinegar sticks, r*cky bar :o
T: approx 5 or 6 small glasses of wine  1/2 a horrid curry, handful of chips 1/2 naan bread!

So we have spent a far bit of money and calories, didnt enjoy the band or the meal and all i have to show for it is a hangover!

Also i havent been swimming today as i feel so rough!!! :(

Oh dear savesummore - you sound like I did last Sunday. Tomorrow will be a better day xx

Well, I went a bit bonkers this morning and did the Couch to 5K run and Shred Level 2! Shred was hard towards the end but I did the whole thing without giving up.:j
I have a lovely afternoon of schoolwork to do now though so will be sat down for a few hours at least!

    Food so far has been....
Breakfast - none, was busy "jogging" in the rain
Lunch - wrap (189 cals) with lettuce and fake chicken (50 cals), packet of Crimbles baked crisp things (120 cals)
    2 cans of diet coke

Not sure about tea yet but there's plenty in as yesterday was shopping day, may be salad and something - see how hungry I am. There's also a ton of fruit here so will have some strawberries (99p at Aldi now) and satsumas later.

Just a good find to report in B&M this morning - Poppets (you know the little box of chocolates from years ago) are 25p each and the mint choc ones are only 175 cals for the box. Have bought some for watching a film later as my treat.

    Hi Everyone

Another wet Sunday here so catching up on all the boring stuff – housework done, ironing done, Shred done, freezer inventory done, menu plan done - so its feet up and knitting on the go.

After reading about changing when you eat your main meal I thought I would give it a try; that’s the way we ate as a family throughout my childhood, I just need to cut out the bread/pancakes/scones that always followed what was served at teatime. I got out of the habit of eating that way when I started working but like Sparrer I now have the time to cook in the middle of the day.

    Meals today =
    B – Melon, yoghurt & honey
L – Mince, new pots, peas.
T – Mushrooms on Toast, Fruit Salad.
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £113.01
