2 Weeks to go!
Well done to everyone else who has lost that isn't on the list.
Rosewood - your photos are inspiring, please keep it up. Was that courgette raw? I must try that, I have 2 in the fridge (though I was going to grill them with cheese!)
Minicooper - I was stuck at around 12 stone for about 6 months, still am (well, 11,11). I am going to see if I can lowcarb/sugar my way out of it. Will let you know how it goes, I was doing well until the weekend in the caravan!
The Dragon - Well done on shifting some of that gain, I have given you an Angel smilie for effort as you did actually exceed your goal before your naughty thyroid messed it up for you

Ragz Thanks for posting the list but unfortunately my WL is now only 12 lb so I have too many smiley faces.
I'm not going to get my goal this time, however I will still be a stone lighter than when I started by the end of it so I will have won in a way.

Afternoon All
Thanks for the comments on the photos. I'm afraid I rely on DH to sort them - he takes the photos, then uploads them to a site he uses (but he suggests Photobucket is easy to use if doing it yourself) and emails me the link. I just click insert image and paste the link which is very easy.
The courgette was just cooked slightly - I put it in the microwave for about 1 minute just to heat it through with a hot meal.
No photo of today's lunch as I went out for a meal and I wasn't sure what they'd think of us taking photos.
B: Milky coffee - in bed. I was due to go for a long run but it was pouring with rain so I stayed in bed with a book for a couple of hours.
L: Pork cooked with cider and apples, green beans, cabbage, carrots and peas (shared with DGD). HM chocolate mousse when I came home.
T: To be decided later.
Exercise: 12 minutes run round the block between rain showers - I jogged slowly for 2 lamp posts and ran as fast as I could for 1, repeated 6 times. I'm about to go swimming later and will walk to work this evening.

I think perhaps I need to join you folks if I may? My fiance moved in about a year ago and in that time my weight has been steadily creeping up. I figure its about time I get a grip on it before it becomes too much of an issue.
I'm currently 74kg (sorry, don't work in lbs!) but I think I should really be under 70. 65kg would be ideal but to begin with, I want to stop it going up. This time last year I was only 72kg. I know 2kg ain't a lot but I was hoping that living together would make it easier to lose not gain!
Part of the problem is that we've bought a big house that needs lots of work doing and we're on a budget. OH gets the exercise from doing all the work. I don't get the exercise I used to get because we can't afford to go out and have the active social life I used to have.
Other part of the problem is OH has a sweet tooth. In a bid to save money I've been doing some baking. I can ignore shop-bought goodies but I feel it necessary to sample homemade.
So where do I start? I think I need to reconnect my Wii fit to up the exercise. We've started a 10,000-steps-a-day challenge at work today so hopefully that'll help. I also need to reduce the portion sizes for my main meals and reduce the snacking on baked goodies. Any other suggestions? The grocery challenge thread has helped me rein in my spending so now I need help with my calorie consumption. Can I use this thread as my conscience in that respect?
Thanks in anticipation...0 -
Afternoon all, welcome sonastin
ragz thank you for updating the list. Could you change my 6lb loss to 7lb please? You've got the 7 smiley faces right, thank you
B - spicy, fruity porridge - used chopped dried apricots today, they tasted lovely
D - veg/chicken curry with fusilli
T - usual crackers, marmite/cheese&pickle/marmalade
S - 1/2 grapefruit, apple, small bowl of F&F to nibble on as the fruit bowl is empty
E - 40 mins gym this morning, step/weights this afternoon
Not overkeen on the weather as I can't get outside to garden or just sit and enjoy, but after the weekend's sunshine it's perked the garden up so looking very colourful now
Have a good rest of the day0 -
I will not lose weight today - my boss passed off a load of work I did over the weekend (about 6 hours worth) as his own and did not even say thank you. Consequently, I ate my own body weight in biscuits:mad:
Will have to have a very good tea and no snacks and do the level 2 Shred tonight to try to minimise the damage.
Tomorrow is another day......0 -
I've been good-ish so far today but I'm starving...also really tired. Intended to do some exercise but I feel absolutely wiped out - I think I'm still recovering from my near-death experience on Thursday and it doesn't help that we barely slept a wink last night. NOT a good way to start the week
I can't stop thinking about food....why isn't it dinner time yet?!
Oh and well done to all the losers0 -
Evening All,
A quick extra post for today. I decided to make mushroom soup for tea as we had some mushrooms going a bit past their best in the fridge - red onions, HG garlic, button mushrooms and chestnut mushrooms sauteed in butter then simmered in milk and blitzed. Served with black pepper and a swirl of double cream. I also made a pear and raspberry dessert by mixing a little bit of Quark with chopped tinned pears and pear juice and decorating with a couple of raspberries.
I went swimming and did 30 lengths to add to my exercise total.
