I have been lying low as I fell of my wagon a couple of weeks back when I was a bit unwell and haven't been tracking my food or exercising much since and was a bit scared to face the music. I have tried to get back with at least reasonable lunches this week but the cheese has been back on the menu a lot and the after dinner munching has crept back in.

Anyway pleased to report that 'only' 3/4 pound has gone back on, so I will count that as STS and try and get back to it for the next couple of weeks before Easter.

    Morning all

Haven't been around for a while, lots of illness in the family and pc has been down on and off (grafix card issues etc) so not been about as usual.

Foodwise I have been all over the place but with illness and lots of housework and DIY I have managed to STS again .
Will get back into it after Easter when I can get my brain back in gear. Have lost what I wanted to anyways (14lb) the extra change to 21 was a bonus, so not feeling too bad about it.

    Have a good day
    DC xx

Mazzzy - sounds like you need to see a different Doctor. Most of the ones I have seen (and the nurse who takes my bloods) say it is how I FEEL that is most important, not the results. Some people are symptomless at the lower end of 'normal range' and others at the upper end. There are some really good websites around the issue that explain the blood tests and how thyroid function effects you etc, worth arming yourself with plenty of knowledge and then going back to them. I am lucky my Doctors all seem very good so far but I know some people really struggle to be taken seriously and treated properly. Keep at them, you deserve to feel totally well!
Vitamins may help energy levels but do take them WITH food.
Don't stress about the gain, there could be many reasons. I am sure it will shift in a few days, the body is a complex machine ;)

Dragoncry - you have done really well to lose a stone and not put any back on, consider the challenge completed and good luck for the next one :)

Oh and I have discovered a new snack - table water biscuits. When I felt the need to munch something with my tea I found these in the cupboard, not as dry as cream crackers and only 14cal each!

I have had a really bad week and ended up with a 2lb gain. What was I thinking of when I thought I could lose 20 pounds on this challenge! Could you change my target to 6 pounds please. Oh the shame :(

The only excuse I have is that I've been tired and stressed. I am going away this weekend too but will try be be the best I can.

    Hello everyone,

I've been MIA because I've been in hospital for my operation. Tried to order lots of healthy veg from the menu, and of course had a couple of days when I didn't really eat. Not sure what's happening weightwise as I've not yet braved the scales - but I will, I promise

I've mostly read back the thread. Well done to you all for keeping going, and (((HUGS))) for those who've had struggles.

Welcome to the thread. The more the merrier.

LavenderBees Welcome back. Sorry to hear times are tough. And well done on STS. Its fine to comfort eat a bit when you're under stress like that. Its also a chance to find new comfort foods that boost your strength - I've found a strange liking for Greek salad (feta, black olives, sundried tomatoes, salad leaves, peppers) - and of course chocolate is the great unrecognised priority food group :rotfl:

Can you find someone in RL to talk to about the situation - preferably outside of work? When my work went through something similar I could only support my fellow workers who were leaving by getting an outside perspective talking to a friend about my worries.

Ragz You are doing a great job keeping us all organised on this challenge. Don't worry about the wee gain - I seem to remember the same thing happened at another TOTM and the following week you lost the gain and then some.

I'll weigh myself today or tomorrow - when I'm not wobbly and am freshly dosed with painkillers. Meantime keep up the great job everyone :A:A

Reporting another STS this week. I have lost either 1/4lb or 3/4lb depending on where I position the scales (they are even on a flat board). Grrr.

Guess I should be happy it's slightly less than last week, but it's clear I will not make my target. :(
Will try back on the Wii Zumba this week as back is feeling better so it might be able to tolerate all that wiggling.

OK, this is getting silly, I'm declaring another 8lb loss. This morning I was 15 stone 1lb (joined this thread at 16 stone 10lb) and I'm really not in the least hungry. And my only trousers (size 20) are falling down. I suspect that hormones are playing a large part in the way the rate of loss is fluctuating (sorry if TMI) and I'm pretty certain the meds were upsetting things as well through the impact on my digestion.
