I don't know about hypnosis, but have you tried laughter? A funny youtube video or a *silent* page of jokes if you're at work? Distraction might help:)0

morning all
dinner last night ended up being a stir fry rather than green curry, as when I went to make it we had no coconut milk! :rotfl: oops! DH was a bit miffed as he's been asking me to make it for ages as it's one of his faves, and he doesn't really like stir fry due to all the veggies!
Today:
Breakfast: 1 slice WM toast, glass of apple juice (at home), yoghurt, granola, dried apricots (at work)
Lunch: chicken salad sandwich, babybel, apple, satsumas
Dinner: undecided, DH out for the night so will have whatever I [STRIKE]can be arsed to cook[/STRIKE]fancy.
Off to a hen weekend tomorrow morning, so probably won't be on again til monday - we're going to a spa on Saturday so will try and get a good swim in, especially as I can't have any treatments, or go in the hot tub/sauna areas! That's all I can promise in the way of healthiness, though at least I won't have any alcohol calories to contend with
Have a nice weekend everyoneLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning all
Much as I love my friends, two of them sent invitation texts before 7am this morning...don't they know I'm retired?! So an early start to my day but with the pleasure of an even fuller 'social diary'
B - F&F, ss milk
D - stir fry veg, jacket. Apple
T - boiled egg, soldiers
Snacks - melon, apple, grapes, kiwi
Exercise - 30 mins exercise done by 7.55 am . Just going to the garden centre which means a bit more pottering outside later on
Enjoy the day0 -
Hello All,
I have fallen off the band wagon with this thread and have gone back up to 10st 11lb
I need to start focusing on what I eat more and keep a daily list, so will be back on each day starting tomorrow.
Thanks x0 -
So far today (updated, it got worse)
Rest of DD's chocolate porridge
Slice of toast with peanut butter
Bowl of tinned peaches with LF greek yogurt
Small bowl of soup with a slice of bread and butter
2 crumpets with butter and honey
About 5 choc crispie cakes
2 fajitas
And I did miss my swim, was totaly exhausted and getting brain fog (ok, maybe my thyroid DOES effect me)
Oh, and when I weighed this morning I had put on 2lb. I would like to think that's all TOTM but I know what I've been eating. The carbs found me
Someone suggested I start taking Berocca (a vitamin supplement), which sounds like a good idea as my thyroid probs do sap my energy rather and I am SO moody... they are B2G1F at the moment in sainsbury's.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Ragz, have you had your thyroid levels checked recently? I have hypothyroidism, but I only have symptoms of tiredness etc when something's out of whack with my dose. The way levothyroxine works is by replacing exactly what your body would be making, so if your dose is balanced you should really be symptom-free. If you don't feel right it's worth pushing your GP for testing and a change in your dose, as the range they like things to be in is an average, and some people need to be higher/lower in it than others to feel right.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Afternoon all.
I am having one of those awful days where nothing I eat seems to fill me up. I will write what I've had so far although i'm a bit ashamed. But hey, there's no point only posting on the good days!
B: cereal bar
Mid morning: bag of mini cookies
Lunch: 2 small slices of toast, bowl of vegetable soup, a banana, a yogurt, a fruit pot
Mid afternoon: a lemon cookie (i was getting better at saying no to tasty snacks in the office but said yes today!)
Dinner: At this rate, who knows! Was planning on having baked potatoes with a little cheese and quorn ham.
No idea why i'm so hungry!
I feel like i'm plateauing (is that a word?) and think that after easter, i'm really going to have to make some more dramatic changes to shift the weight I need to lose.
Hope everyone's having a better day than me xxxx0 -
Evening All
I have managed to stay within 1500 calories today but it seems a bit unbalanced.
B: 1/2 HM granary roll toasted with jam and butter
L: HM carrot soup. Lemon 'icecream' - I mixed HM lemon curd with LF fromage frais and then froze it.Small fish and a few of DH's chips. 1/2 tin rice pudding.
Snacks: 1 Ferrero Rocher chocolate.
Exercise: Walk to work and back so about 1.5 miles. I had DGD this morning so had to miss my Pilates class.
