Oh dear, I think I've had all todays calories already...I should go to bed now to stop me doing any further damage!

DS2 called round for lunch, he's coming for meals regularly just now, there's no food in his house (it's a long story!)..
and he made burger rolls, so there was cheese, and spread on the roll, I have no idea how many calories were in it.

And even worse, I shopped this morning, and the popping candy chocolate was half price. (I usually keep away from the sweetie aisle, but was looking for a little gift). I had to buy some (I know savesummore will understand :))
So bad point - I've eaten half a bar of chocolate
Good point - I gave the remaining half bar to DS2 to take to work (and only a popping candy chocolate fan will understand how hard that was for me :rotfl:)

I will try and behave myself for the rest of the day :o

256 cals is pants! for all that effort, that's only a quarter bar of choc!!!

and my lips are sealed, I will be staying away from the shops for a few days.
We will be having birthday cake this week, that will do enough damage without buying more chocolate :)

Super impressed Ellie at your willpower there, I've never tried popping candy chocolate, think I'd better keep it that way :D

It is surprising how much you have to exercise to burn a decent amount of calories and how much it drops as you lose weight. Do your wear a heart rate monitor savesummore so you know that's accurate? As I do wonder if these online calculators underestimate maybe?

I'm still eating a lot of treats, but decided we're on our hols so going to enjoy myself for two weeks and just keep to calories :)

B- poached egg on toast, tomato sauce
L- vegetable samosa, banana, caramel shortbread
    D- pizza and salad
S- lollie, mini green and blacks choc bar, hot choc

Zippy its funny you should say this as I was thinking about it earlier- no I dont have a heart rate monitor I just go on how many cals the gym equipment tells me ive burnt! But i was thinking the machine doesnt know how old/tall/heavy I am so it must just be a general guess-ti-mate

I may look into getting a monitor dependant on costs

Well done ellie for giving half the bar away! I am not into sharing like that, so you have great willpower!

B: Porridge with 2tbsp of apple sauce (finishing the jar off)
    S: brazil nuts/almonds
L: Beefy Tomato soup (canteen), slice of bread, apple crumble (woops)
D: Chicken and vegetable stir fry

I also drank a bottle of lucozade (tired after long train journey yesterday) and am sampling a new HM protein bar (protein, peanut butter, honey, oats). Back to the gym tomorrow!

DON'T go near the stuff zippy! I rue the day my mother gave me my first bar.
I don't buy chocolate often, but it's the only bar I would buy now...if I want some and the shop doesn't have popping candy, I'll leave with nothing...it's ruined other choc bars for me, is that a good thing? :rotfl:

I've sort of redeemed myself this afternoon, I've only had a few strawberries. Done a bit of guessing on mfp re the burger, but it's showing I'm over by 11 cals, so that's not too bad. Had planned to go for a walk, but it's raining and I'm not that keen :o

Tbh, it was more of a "take that bar away from me, I'm just going to eat it all"...and then...HE ATE IT IN FRONT OF ME...oh it was painful :rotfl:

    Sue...size 8s!!! :T
Well done you, you must be "proper slim" now :D

Now, you have to tell us *exactly* what you bought so we can look out for them...if I could fit into a size 8 I don't think my head would fit through the door, I'd be so chuffed :rotfl:

I have never worn a size 8, ever. 30 years ago a size 8 was tiny, and I didn't know anyone who wore that size. It is confusing when manufacturers change the sizings...I'm wearing mostly 14s just now, but I have a skirt from about 20 years ago which is a 14, and it's still several inches too tight...it's a black pleated mini, I won't ever wear it out in public again, but I'm keeping it until I can say it fits!

I think 30 years ago there was no such thing as a size 8, the smallest I remember seeing was a size 10. When I was younger, and even after I had my DS, I had a 24" waist and always wore a size 12 (although occasionally I was pleasantly surprised to fit in a 10), yet now I have a 28" waist and I can get into size 8s, so obviously clothes sizing has changed drastically! I have a size 12 skirt which I bought when I was 18 (more years ago than I like to remember, lol!), which I would never wear in public now, but I would like to be able to fit comfortably in it.
    :rotfl::rotfl:Yes perfectly normal :D

Im wondering if all this vanity sizing is having an effect on the obesity rate as people are think well im still the same clothes size now as I was 10 years ago although im x amount heavier or thinking well im a 16 when really that is an old size 20 etc

I think you could be right about that.

Well I managed to get away with not having birthday cake for DS’s birthday, but we did go out for dinner, where I had a honeycomb sundae and 2 bottles of pear cider as well as the meal! We are going out again at the weekend for my birthday, so will probably be about the same, lol! Last week was an STS for me, which was better than putting it on.

OH and I are both off work this week and are going to London tomorrow, so there will be lots of walking, although I daresay we won’t be eating too healthily while we’re out, lol!
