    Today I will be having

    L; boiled egg salad
T; Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread

Well, the family have gone out to eat tonight so I'm just picking at things rather than having a main meal as I don't really feel like eating. I have the phrase 'little pickers wear big knickers' running round in my head though :o

Ellie I thought protein bars were just for sporty people too, but wish I'd started on them sooner as the protein is really filling and much better for me than having a snack. As well as a good breakfast my stomach now expects elevenses :) so I have one then, which means I can have a late lunch because quite a few nights with work I don't get to eat dinner until 9pm, my stomach would think my throat was cut otherwise lol.

You can get energy ones but they are more sugar than protein. Not eating meat they help me get enough protein too, I really struggled before. I couldn't have fitted them in when I was on 1200 calories easily, but other than this week when I'm trying to get my gain off I mostly eat about 1500 so I can fit one in. My Daughter trains and lifts weights every day so uses the shakes, I couldn't drink them, but they are really popular.

I had my interview today and was very good and just had tea in John Lewis after and avoided all cakes :D the interview questions were totally not as I expected so I don't think I did as well as I could have. Thinking on the spot when you're nervous is so hard, I was trying to look calm while in panic mode :D but at least now I know what to expect in future.

Don't know my calories today as I dug a lentil shepherd's pie out the freezer and didn't log the calories when I made it, but think I'm about 1500. I'm still up 3lb from the weekend so really hoping it will shift by Friday not to finish this challenge with a gain.

    B- muesli, skimmed milk
    S- protein bar
L- count on us falafel sandwich (very nice, don't often buy sarnies)
    S- 2 dried dates
D- lentil shepherd's pie and mushy peas
    S- mini twister lollie

zippy hopefully the interview went better than you think. I'm sure they know to expect nerves. Though sometimes I know you can get horrible interviewers...

We had a work dinner tonight with open bar. Couldn't drink much, as I'm driving tomorrow, but the food was lovely. It wasn't completely out of the realms of what I'd eat normally, but it did contain pastry, lots of gravy, some chips, salami meats etc.

I picked out a nice dress to wear that I wore to something a month ago. I've not lost or gained weight since then, but felt the dress was tighter today than last time. I wore it anyway with a floaty knee length cardigan over, which covered most of the too-clingy bits, but I just felt like a bit of an uncomfortable, bloated lump. Most of my clothes feel consistently too tight at the moment, which again makes me feel like I'm fatter, despite not being heavier.... So now I feel rather depressed that I'm a lump.

I do know my diet has room for improvement, although I'm a bit frustrated to not be seeing any movement... Think I'll arrange to see a nutritionist next month, after pay day.

    B - banana
D - jacket with Coronation chicken. Tepid an tasteless, the second time I've been to that restaurant an although the setting is lovely by the water mill the food has disappointed, so don't think I'll be going back.
    T - 2 slices hm wm, 1x pate, 1x marmalade
S - grapes, flapjack, pack mini Cheddars
E - 6x5 mins tm, kitchens work tops, cleaned airing cupboard out after I upset a tray of seedlings all over the towels!

    Sweet dreams :)

I feel like this a lot :o The scales don't want to budge and it really frustrates me. I know I probably do need to look at my diet to work out why I have sts for so long but I do feel disheartened by it :(

I get constantly disheartened by the fact that the scales either stay the same or eventually a week later concede a measly pound but console myself that one pound a week will be a loss of three stone ten in a year - or better fingers crossed.

Started healthy eating plan mid Feb and have just lost two stone :j

Less Yippee is the fact that I "need" to lose four stone, preferably five and that to get from obese to just overweight I need to lose another eleven pounds.

I find that "solid fat" as it goes becomes a weird shape and "flumpy and bumpy but keep telling myself that any change is good and a sign I am on the right lines.

DDs can't seem to understand that weight does not fall off a sixtytwo year old hypothyroid Mum who has been on loads of quick fix diets in the past and who is not up to exercise in the gym (sore knees from all the weight).

Youngest informed me scathingly that my walking round town or to supermarket when other people would drive there - and which I was quite pleased with myself for - was not exercise!

Had porridge made with water and scattered flax seeds on top for brekkie.

Will have crackers and low fat triangles of cheese for lunch and a hairy dieters recipe for evening meal.

Big less fat hug to all.

It is nice to know I'm not the only on stuck in a rutt! My dress is a lovely dress, but really, when you feel uncomfortable, that's it! I should have just worn a different dress really...

I think if it's time you would have otherwise spent on your bum, then it counts as exercise! I noticed a big jump on the scales when I started driving, just from no longer walking to and from the bus stop. It adds up! Try googling some exercises that work for sore knees - they recommend swimming/aqua classes, walking, etc.

I've been listening to weight loss podcasts a lot lately, and am getting more convinced that it's worth visiting a nutritionist. I' ultimately aiming to eat a minimum of refined white carbs, and think they will be able to help me with alternative breakfast and lunch ideas if I can't have bread or (sometimes) dairy.
