Hello, I'd like to join this forum as I feel in need of some support and I'm willing to give plenty of it back. I have joined here before but never manage to consistently log in or consistently lose weight for that matter. I have about two and a half stone to lose. I used to belong to Weight Loss Resources but when I went to join it again recently I found they had doubled their new member fees within the last 18 months or so! I use Food Focus, a free food/exercise logging site which is brilliant but doesn't supply any additional support such as forums which I miss so thought I'd try here.
Hoping to hear from lots of you!

I struggle on 1700 calories a day to be honest! I think the problem is that my life at the moment revolves around being in the library writing essays/studying for exams. When I am not in the library nothing else is occupying my mind.

As I am starting a graduate position soon I want to buy suits that I know I won't grow out of within a couple of months and I want to look good in it! Could do with some motivation!

I have been on the hospital diet and have lost 1stone and 3 lbs !

I will be putting a bit on cos I don't look very good - gaunt !

Anyhow thought I would touch base and wish you a Happy Easter xxx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Thanks for the welcome Knit Witch. What's the challenge? Could well be up for something motivating to work towards but need to know more about it before I commit myself!

    PJ.

We have 4 challenges a year, they run for 12 or 13 weeks (there are 10 weeks left for this run), you state how much weight you want to lose in the challenge time and then on a Friday (or Saturday/Sunday) post your loss *cough* or gain *cough* and I tally up the posts and post a list of how we are doing :D

In the first three months those of us taking part lost 24.5 stone!
