Good luck for the op Jackie-O!!

Sammi I'm afraid I'm just repeating what others have said, but I really don't think you should cut back any further. 1200 calories sounds like it's low enough. Keep a food diary and check that your calories are coming from the right places, look into more arthritis friendly exercises (a friend does swimming quite a lot) and make sure you're drinking enough water.

ellie hope you enjoyed the pizza and chips!

We got an inflation based pay rise yesterday. I've normally celebrated with a take-away, though I wasn't going to have one this year. By the time I got home, I'd worked myself up into really wanting one! Had crispy chicken, boiled rice and a couple of the biggest spring rolls I've ever seen in my life! I did enjoy it, and that's what matters, so it will tide me over for a few months.

Today I had good intentions of getting a baked potato while in the city centre, but the stall was closed, so I had a smoothie instead. It was very sweet, and I just felt like I was drinking a big cup of sugar...

I ordered a blender with a juicer attachment last night. I've been thinking about it for a little while, and I'm looking forward to a few fresh juices for breakfasts!

Well done and good luck with the op!

I have had the week from hell food wise, going way over on my calories almost every day :o, so I am quite pleased with an STS this week!

My dad has been in a care home for respite care for the past 2 weeks, but he had an appointment on Thursday which I took him to, and treated him to fish and chips for his lunch before taking him back. Of course I had to join him, which wasn't good, but I did only have a few chips. However tonight we had a chippy tea (sausage in batter and half a portion of chips), and I've also had a small bottle of lager and a rum and coke. No exercise today either, so I've gone over by more than 700 calories !

On the plus side, yesterday I decided to find my next size down jeans and trousers (size 10, bought years ago and never worn, as I put on weight again soon after buying them), to put in my 'try on' drawer and tried them on before putting them away. Surprisingly, I got into the jeans quite easily, although there's no way I can do them up at the moment, and the trousers did up perfectly, although too tight to wear yet without splitting them when I move, lol! Also I've just ordered some new uniform for work, and was very pleased to have to order a size 10 jacket, because the 12 I tried on was too big!

I've also moved my size 16 clothes out of the cupboard and put them into the charity shop bag, as I'm never going to wear them again, so no point in keeping them. Now will they actually make it out of the house this time?

Ah I love that, I have been regularly pulling too big clothes out of my wardrobe and too small clothes out of my baby's wardrobe to fill charity bags. But despite losing weight my mummy-tummy is still not ready for the next size down (size I was wearing til 3 months pregnant). Need some more focused exercise and never seem to get round to it :o

    Morning.

Sammi like the others have already said 1000 calories is much to low., stay with the 1200' I have the same calorie amount on MPG and it is also taking me a while to lose the weight. We will get there and when we do we will feel good with what we achieved.

We went out unexpectedly last night with friends, I was good food wise had a mackerel salad, but did have a couple of wines. Today I'll pile on the vegetables and cut back on the meat potatoes and Yorkshire.

Hope you all have a good day

Hello just checking in with loss 1.5lb for this week.
Need to try harder with exercise, this past week has been a bit disjointed so I've only managed one session. Good luck everyone and thanks to Knit Witch for running the thread. SL.

ha ha, when mfp says that to me I just think it will help balance out all the days I've gone over...it never says that on a Saturday though :rotfl:

Sue14, wow, size 10! we don't hear size 10 mentioned on here very often :D...and didn't fluffysox say she's only 9st something? We have some very slim minnies on this thread :D

And very impressed that you're both putting out the "too big" clothes...I haven't done any of that yet. Really need to have a trying on session, as in theory now that I'm back to my "mini target" weight my drawer of nice clothes I saved should fit again. But our bedrooms are in uproar at the moment, I'm waiting until the decorating is all done, I'm camping out in spare bedroom just now. My plan is to have a clear out when I put my stuff back in my room (that will probably take longer than decorating it! I have trouble parting with clothes :o)

Right, off to paint a ceiling...I hate doing ceilings!

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Morning all. Have a horrid belly ache this morning, serves me right for eating a beige buffet last night - all quiches, sausage rolls, sandwiches etc., just what I hoped it wouldn't be. There was a head of celery but by the time I reached the jug it had all gone :(. Just wish people would realise that there's more to life than chicken nuggets! ;)

sammi I have arthritis too, in my leg joints and neck but hands are mostly affected. I was given a treadmill a couple of months ago and have to say it's helped enormously. I understand not everyone has room for one, this thing is a monstrosity but it was free :D and I'm lucky enough to have a big sitting room so I can walk while listening to the radio. As minicooper says, swimming is also a good exercise. Unfortunately I can only swim in a straight line - top to bottom!

Sue size 10! I was a size 10 when I got married but that was 40 years ago. Now I'm 14 struggling down to 12 but it's a rocky ride so I like to shop where the cut is generous ;). ellie I'm 9st 7lb this week, a bit more than fluffysox but only 4' 11 1/2" short so look like a dumpling if I put an ounce on :(. I reached 9st last year but it never seem to stay there!

B 2 slices nimble toast with 1/2 banana - couldn't face that cereal any more.
D - will be out with friends, will be a junior portion of something. Thank goodness for pubs which allow us to choose from the kids menu
    T - tba
    E - 1x6mins with Mr W, another 5 planned

Have a sunny day, hope the showers go round you :)

    Morning all.

I set my alarm for 530 this morning, and by 5.50 i was able to hobble downstairs, pop kettle on and take some painkillers. I walked up and down the garden several times to try to loosen my joints. By 6.45 i felt a bit better and with the kids still sound asleep did 25 mins on exercise bike whilst listening to ipod :)

Had a English muffin with scrambled egg for
breakie (and two rich tea biscuits early on with my tea) :

I love the idea of a treadmil if only they weren't so expensive lol

Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome and I have taken all your advise and remained on 1200 calories :)

    Have a great day everyone.

    Sammi x
