Sorry to hear this hun, OS really needed then?

I try to be OS! I'm in the funny/lucky position where I have a very low income (widows benefit) and am not entitled to any other benefits...but I also have some savings.
I like to live on my income because my savings are for...you know, saving :o so I'm lucky that I don't have the extra stress some people have when an unexpected bill arrives.

Could you maybe have a case for unfair dismissal?

No unfair dismissal, no contract, have to be self employed even though just working for one company, sometimes can't even earn the minimum wage, take it or leave it
Remind me why I wanted the job???
Because I wanted the money and I liked the work and it made me feel useful.

There are six chocolate muffins in the kitchen, I'm going off to bed with a hot water bottle before I start on them :o

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Gosh ellie that's harsh! Surely there has to be some discussion though? I don't know what you do, so hard to comment, but I hope you get something sorted! Don't fret about having a weekend of comfort, I hope you land on your feet soon.

Weighed myself this morning, not as bad as I thought, but decided to have one more bash at the gym to see if I can get a final half lb off by tomorrow. Really need to think about my target for the next challenge, I will get something for Saturday.

Hope your pain killers are working for you KnitWitch!

Sorry ladies, I have just given up today :(
I'm eating all the chocolate in the house. I had a really bad phone call tonight (nothing life threatening, just work related). It's been a few years since I've felt such a stomach churning stressful sick feeling.
I'm really upset because I tried to do my best for my employer, and I know I did my little job well...but one assumed mistake (with no repercussions apart from what's recorded on a computer) and I'm out, no discussion. Looks like I'll have to tighten my belt again, but it upsets me more that they didn't value my efforts.

I have no hopes at all for tomorrows weigh in.
I won't give up for good, but I may take the weekend off.
Oh ellie that's horrid, don't worry about the calories too much. I know exactly how you feel. Try to do some nice (no-guilt) things that make you feel good too though x Nice bubble bath, paint your nails, walk in the sunshine, meet up with a friend...
Every ending is a new beginning even if it doesn't feel like it at the time xx

(((ellie))) I can only reiterate what everyone else has said, I'm so sorry this has happened and hope you find something else soon. I know the problems of being self employed although I think there should have been some dialogue before they made their decision. But of course the man who pays the money has the final say these days, unfair though it is. Well done you for being OS when it comes to savings, good to have that security behind you. Take care.

Although I have ended this challenge with a STS I am really pleased with the end result :j I have lost 8 lbs and waist is a little flatter. I actually think the next challenge will be easier as will not be in winter mode. Many thanks to Knit Witch for all her hard work :T

Well my plan to shift another half lb didn't work, this week I've STS.

Total loss for this challenge is 9lbs/14lbs. Slightly sad not to have reached target, in my first 4 weeks it looked like a sure thing! I think doing a cookery course has possibly hindered, and then I've had 3 weekends away.

I am going to aim for another 9lbs in the next challenge please knit witch. I think this is reasonable - I've had all the big start-of-diet losses, so this will allow between 0.5-1 lbs a week!
