Definitely not a good weekend - my OH came to visit, and that meant a few treats were had:
Friday - I had an appalling headache, and my OH felt bad about making me cook so we went straight to a restaurant and I had a cheese and bacon chicken burger with chips, followed by an ice cream sundae (felt sorry for myself).
Saturday - went for a day trip, OH wanted cake after his lunch, so I joined him and had a slice of cake too. I bought chocolates for the cinema last night, but OH magically found himself in the queue for popcorn - managed to argue him down to a medium at least!
Today - lunch at Nando's, OH gave me a box of Ferrero Rocher for my valentines (I don't do valentines, so a little box of chocolates is about the extent of what he is allowed to buy me), finished off leftover chocolate from the cinema and had a can of lemonade.
This is one of the parts I don't like about long distance relationships - while we both make the most of our time together, it often means that spending a weekend together is treated as a bit of a holiday, and you let yourself have a lot more treats when you're on holiday  However, it did make me realise how healthily I've been eating for ages now, and I'm going to be glad to get back to normal, good food!0 -
I also meant to share this - someone posted a link to this site before (can't remember who) but this interview was very interesting, and I thought of you guys when I was listening to it.
I keep hearing that 3000 calories=1lb, but they were saying that this isn't strictly the case - a calorie is a calorie, but not all calories are the same.

Bad carb day, baked some bread, fatal mistake. Had lots of it with butter and some even with jam.
Back to square one re sugar elimination, sadly. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Late checking in but..... stayed the same
Must try harder....this week I'm gonna amaze myself0 -
I am ashamed of myself and my eating habits today.
Last night I bought a pizza and chips takeaway, and I really didn't need it. I just can't get out of the mindset that takeaway equals a treat, and I know I bought it because I was going home to an empty house. I'm quite contented with my own company most of the time, but somehow the house being empty at the weekend is harder to bear.
It doesn't matter what I do during the day, it's going home to that dark house which makes me think I deserve a treat.
I really really need to find a non-food treat instead. Maybe I should ban takeaway completely (don't know if I have the willpower for that) or decide not to eat takeaway alone, and only have it in company, which wouldn't be as often. I don't know, I'm just very upset with myself this morning.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Hi everyone
Sorry i have benn MIA over the wkend-ive had a stinking cold so much so that ive had to phone in work sick today (im treating myself to surfing the net whilst still in bed)
Food hasnt been great- i havent ate much but everything i have ate has been bad really as just havent had the energy to sort out anything good to eat! Saturday night was a takeaway pizza!
Ive had a small bowl of cereal today but not sure what the rest of the day holds yet!
Ellie99- Im sorry your finding it hard at the moment especially going home to an empty house. Could you try treating yourself in another way maybe buy some second hand DVD's really mushy/girlie ones that you could put on and enjoy? Its hard really as i think id also treat myself to food! Or have your food treat but make sure its just once a week? Hope things get easier soonO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Sorry, forgot to post -3lb loss
Think this is mainly due to being unwell all week, so not expecting it to stay off when I am back to normal and my appetite returns.0 -
Had to buy some new bathroom scales today, the others just stopped working and even a new battery didn't revive them! Can't compare weight until the morning but I hope they don't weigh heavier.....no reason why they should but that would be very dispiriting. (Although thinking about it, maybe that could be a good excuse come the end of the week

My disaster area I found out recently was banoffee pie. I made some from scratch and ate it all far too quickly. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
