Good morning everyone!
This week I have sts. Not really surprised as I haven't really tried that hard! Will try harder next week, as I really want to go down another dress size before I buy any new clothes for summer.
Best of luck everyone!0 -
Very surprised to get on the scales this morning and find myself at 11st7lb again, no idea where yesterday's gain as I wasn't expecting it to leave until mid next week. I did really go for it at the pool last night though (70 lengths fast breaststroke) and may be a little dehydrated this morning. I'll be going up to 1400cal a day now - only one week at 1200, don't want to slow my metabolism down too much! Just needed to kick myself off the plateau...
So 3lb loss so far for me out of the 7lb total.
Well done to everyone losing or staying the same (yes, it is still good, at least no gain!). Sorry some of you are finding it hard, keep at it and the mojo will come back, I was in your position a few weeks ago but it's all moving again now.
Nat21luv - Welcome back, well done for getting back on the horse
Pitlanepiglet - try not to get despondent, if you have been trying hard and it hasn't shown yet it will catch up with you if you keep going. I am reading a Rosemary Conely book and she mentions one lady she had in her class who would consistently STS for 3 weeks then lose 3-4lb in a week. That was just her body's way of doing it. Also if you are exercising you may have gained muscle and lost fat. Are you eating enough not to slow your metabolism down too much?
Today's food will be like this (but I am doing treat food for the kids later so may well eat a few crisps and a choc brioche too!). Going to Bodiam Castle so may join the kids in an ice cream/cake.
Breakfast - Tinned fruit, yogurt, muesli. Tea!
Lunch - Soup
Dinner - Stir fry and salmon
snacks - Banana, Choc brioche (only 143 calories so not too bad), treats...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I am declaring a 1lb loss (4lbs in total - half of my goal).
I'm very pleased to declare this as last week I actually gained 3/4lb, due to my daughter's chocolate birthday cake and other birthday treats, then it was mine last Saturday so planned a curry with my best friend who came up from London to be with me. My back went into spasm and so I have not been able to move for days and had gained another 1/2lb when I had a sneeky peak on Tuesday. Last night I was really down expecting to have gained more due to lack of movement, even though I've been fairly good with the food, so I am really pleased today to see I'd lost all I'd gained plus 1/4lb, taking me to a round pound loss.
Hope this makes sense. Anyway, really pleased to have met my halfway target. :-D
Can stand up straight today, so looking forward to taking the children to the park with a friend and getting some fresh air!0 -
Thanks Ragz and LB, I'm eating 1440 ish calories so I think it's enough and I'm getting to the point where I feel hungry before meals so I don't think it's too much. I've done more walking so it could be muscle conversion but I don't think I've done enough to have built much muscle, it could be enough to make a difference I suppose.
Have done myself a deal to keep going the same way for another two weeks to see how my body works, I'm hoping it will catch up as you suggest Ragz.
Well done to the losers, commiserations to the sts'ers at least it's not a gain which it probably would have been if I'd been eating as I used to.Piglet

Good morning all,
Big congrats to all those who have lost weight this week:j
I have to report I STAYED THE SAME
I am thinking I must be having too many calories per day? I am on 1400 but then I have a 100 sweet treat on top, so a total of 1500 cals per day. I have around 3 st to lose so thought I could do it on this amount but maybe not as its just not happening. Not looking forward to reducing it but if thats what it takes.......
We are going to the coast today for a few hours to take a VERY long, brisk walk along the beach! I love the sea in all weathers, and am hoping it will invigorate me and get this weightloss going!Summer weightloss challenge
Aim to lose 10lbs:)0 -
Morning all
1lb loss for me this week :j Feel like I've got my motivation back, will try and keep it up this time.
Did my measurements this week, and I've lost 2" from my waist, and 1" from my hipsAlso my waist is starting to look like a waist, as opposed to me being straight up and down (I'm a definite apple shape!)
Today I'm wearing a long t-shirt I bought ages ago and never wore as it was so tight in my tummy area it looked like maternity wearLooks great now I've lost some weight in that area!
Today:
breakfast: activia yoghurt, grapes
Lunch: ham and laughing cow sarnie, apple, satsumas
Dinner: LO noodles, chicken and satay sauce
Snack: crunchie rocks at the cinema tonight. They're DH's valentines pressie though, his fave, so I don't think I'll get very many :rotfl:. according to MFP I can have 6 and still be within my calories, so will try not to go over thatLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning all, congrats to those who have lost, I‘m another one for the STS club.
I think my downfall this week has been the amount of carbs I have had. Because I’ve been busy bread, pasta, noodles and potatoes were quick and easy meals to knock up. So I need to review my menu plan, I'm trying to use up freezer supplies but need to be a bit more inventive with what I have to accompany the main dish and be a bit more organised.
Today I’ll be having
B – Yoghurt & fruit
L – Soup from freezer
D – Beef Casserole, steamed cabbage, carrots, green beansJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £22.180 -
Meant to add to Kiwisaver about the 30 minute meal book - I've never made a whole menu, they're all ridiculously complicated! Plus we don't really have puddings etc as a regular thing. I just pick and choose what I'm going to use from a particular menu, and quarter the oil, as he uses a ridiculous amount
The satay skewers and noodles are a particular favorite though, as is the sausage ragu (Pregnant Jools's pasta). We've also had the noodle salad with baked fish etc, it's yummy and versatile.
There's loads more things I keep meaning to try but I never have all the right ingredients in, must get a bit more organised.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Cheers Moog, I have read through the book a few times and always notice different things that I mean to try, but never get around to. I've bought the peanut butter, noodles and a lime today, so I can do the satay thing.
Had to laugh cos a bag of these:LittleMoog wrote: »Snack: crunchie rocks
somehow fell into my trolley tonight also. I rarely buy chocolate but these caught my eye whilst standing at the till. :rotfl:
This week for me is a STS although I am pretty sure there's a half pound loss hiding there. Weighed this morning at the lowest I have seen in a long, long time - but later in the day shows a different picture, so I'll go with the higher.Mortgage
