Could I join you please? I would like to lose 8lbs if possible and know that checking in somewhere each week is the most effective way of making me stick to it.

Can I join please. Normally start some crazy fad diet after new year but want to change and have more healthy approach. Aiming for 18 pounds in 12 week challenge. Will weigh on 4th and watch what eat over weekend but not going to start 100 % until Monday when off work and can do a bit of planning. Have set myself a challenge to use my healthy eating cookbooks and try new recipes.

Thanks savesummore - I have signed up for this too now.
I've picked out some reasonable meals from a new recipe book, and have planned out the next 3 weeks roughly. It's a 3 week plan of low fat chicken stews, mince dishes and plain pasta with veg. A combination of comfort food and non-rich sauces, with healthier accompaniments. I will also try and get out for walks on the weekends, and hope to join the cheapo gym at the end of the month. I hope to lose a little over 2 stone this year.0 -

I am looking forward to beginning this challenge. I aim to weigh myself every Friday morning with an initial one tomorrow with my starting weight. Over the past few years my weight has increased by over 2 and 1/2 stone and I am hoping that this year I can lose some of this.
I especially want to reduce the size of my waist as well so will be measuring that weekly. I love walking and live by the sea and the South Downs so will be doing lots of beach and downland walks for exercise. I have also got a Wii so will be hopefully making use of that.0 -
Blip yesterday. I'd been on the 2pm-10pm shift and although called home at 5 for my tea (pork dinner with Yorkshire pudding but very veg heavy) I then proceeded to have cheese and crackers when I got in while catching up on Sherlock.
No crackers left now and I won't buy any more for a while in the hope to break that habit. I think I'm actually thirsty but being so close to bedtime I dare not drink. Going to have to look into that.0 -
Morning Folks
I just popped in to wish you all a happy new year and much success in your weight-loss challenge. I won’t be joining you this time around but will be lurking in the background.
I didn’t put any weight on during the festivities, mainly because after indulging in the “usual” on Christmas & Boxing Day I woke on the 27th feeling absolutely yuk, very bloated, queasy and uncomfortable and for lack of a better word “liverish” – don’t know if it’s because my stomach is not used to that kind of rich food anymore or whether I picked up some kind of tummy-bug but anyway after a few days of eating only yoghurt, fruit and soup I’m back to normal and gradually introducing other foods back into my diet.
Good luck to you all and Sparrer I hope the horrid tests you had to go through bring the right results soon.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.530 -
