Hi. Can I join this please? I'm 61 years of age and morbidly obese.:eek::eek:
would like to go for 14lbs at least. Am going away for the first time in more than 3 years at end of May and Must lose weight before then - I'm also worried whether they will let me on plane if I don't.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
Hi Guys!
Well approx this time last year after spending about 8 months with you guys i got down to 9st 10lbs- well i aint 9st 10 anymore.........................I weighed myself on Sunday and im 11st 5lbs:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I just dont know when it happened I knew i had put a couple of pounds on here and there but im v fed up with myself that i have let things get so out of control. On top of that horror i now have very few clothes that actually fit me
Im back at work Thursday so my plan is to eat as well as I can for the rest of this week and start 'properly' on Monday when Ive had time/chance to plan meals etc. Also im going to start the 30 Shred again but probably not every day as I work full time and do an evening course which i go to once a week but also have approx 4 hours homework to do every week. May aim to 30 day shred 3 times a week as I think that is realistic
Happy New Years everyone- im off out for a curry!!! Final supper you could say :rotfl:

Sorry to be Tail End Charlie but now I know how much I weigh after my fast can I ask you to put me down for 6lb please KW? At least I think that's right, still very woozy from today's (yesterday's) procedure and slept all evening so should be with it but...I'm quite sure it's not 6 stone
I didn't lose as much as I thought I would, only 1lb, I swear it should be more considering all the 'bits' they removed! But it's 1lb down, not up, so am thankful for small mercies. Although I couldn't eat anything I just don't know how peeps can do the 5:2 diet, I even had to hide the fruit bowl in a cupboard. I'd dread those 2 fast days approaching and lose the will to do it! I have no will-power at all...
Happy New Year to everyone, huge thanks to KW (and the girls) for keeping us and all our efforts accounted for

Happy New Year
Big lovely meal with friends tonight, but only 2 glasses of bubbles...
Back at work on the 2nd and also taking it as a fast day, hopefully I will be so busy I don't notice not eating ( who am I kidding)

Happy new year everyone, can I join you all please? Have tried slimming world and the south beach in the past and while they work at the time, the weight goes back on as soon as I revert to "normal" eating.
OH and I have decided changing our lifestyle, healthy eating, smaller portions and more exercise are the way to go. Oh yes, and cut back on the wine consumption
Can I please join the challenge, I'll be aiming for 14 lbs. We will be away (our first holiday in about 4 years) at the end of February so I'm aiming for as much as possible by then.
Today will be a write off (hangover induced carb cravings) but will ease into it tomorrow.

Slight problem in my weight loss - scales broke 2 days ago. Can I tick along with you but recording measurements as opposed to weighing myself. New scales are at the bottom of the need list.
A good start with 1 slice toast with 1 poached egg.
Making HM veg soup for lunch with pork and veg for evening meal but that will be on a side plate and I won't have a Yorkshire pud.

I found it very helpful taking a few photos of myself in underwear. I did it once a month. It's amazing what a real boost can do to you, when you see results.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

Happy new year to everyone.
Well the good news is that I weighed myself this morning and have still lost 6lbs of the stone I lost before October. The bad news is that 8lbs that seem to have returned  but... it could have been so much worse.Think positive... think positive...
I also wore my pedometer yesterday just to see what kind of steppage I was doing having not worn it in a while. I managed comfortably over 4000 steps which included a trip round the shops so I think a week #1 goal of 5 x 4000 steps will be a sensible place to start.
The prepping threads have got me thinking. The people we would need to be able to get to in a crisis if roads were blocked or fuel unavailable are my elderly parents who live 11-12 miles away. I know there is no way I could walk that kind of distance any more, although it would have been easy in my backpacking days. I think I am growing a longer term (maybe two year?) goal of being able to walk that sort of distance again.
