Good morning everyone!
I awoke bright and early this morning, hangover free. I started my AF (alcohol free) January last night, so no alcohol until February for me! I am going to be making sure that i drink 2ltrs of water a day instead.
I couldn't get scales, but will pick some up in the next few days. At least i know that my starting point is 10st 13lbs. So i am hoping for 10st 12lbs next week.
I am feeling very motivated at the moment. I need to go food shopping, but the weather is so awful that i cant face it, so am making do with what i have.0 -

 my DS sometimes looks through the photos on my camera...he'd never be able to un-see the images :rotfl:
Had a new year weigh in today...I lost 2lbs the day after the last challenge finished, and I've put one on them back on. That's success for me, I usually put on about 4lbs over xmas. Been much more restrained this year...had only one piece of xmas cake, and didn't buy any puff pastry mince pies (my absolute favourite), although I've had a few small homemade ones. I'm going to try and get that 1lb off again before I start properly at the weekend.
Can't believe I've been here a whole year! I wasn't used to posting on forums, and nearly chickened out joining, but I'm glad I stayed, it's been lovely following everyone's efforts through the year, and you were all so encouraging when I was failing miserably in the summer
I won't be making any announcements regarding chocolate this year lol. 2013 did not turn out to be "the year of no chocolate" as I planned, but I did make it to the end of AprilAfter that I gave in and had some roughly every 3 months, so still a lot better than eating it all the time. I'll try to keep that up.
Managed a walk this morning before that rain started *again*, and feel better for it, I get stiff and sore sitting around too much.
Heading out in the rain soon to visit parents...it would be churlish to refuse anything to eat on NY Day, so may be having some fattening snacks(my DM is not keen on me losing weight, and tries to feed me things every time I visit!)

Happy new year everyone. Just back from new year celebrations and don't have the energy to do much.
Have to go shopping tomorrow so it'll give me the chance to restock with healthier food. Although It 'm dreading it I will have to get on the scales in the morning and see how much I put back on over christmas0 -
I think I will settle on trying for 4lb again this time. I know it's not much but I have to be realistic at this stage. Ideally I'd lose 7lb by the time my DD2 gets married in May, but anything downwards will be fine. So 4lb for me please KW:)0

hmm...man or food? man or food?...I know what I'd prefer right now..(food, in case there's any confusion) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
had one small piece of cake at parents, so not too bad, today will be good if I stop eating now!
(btw, the only chocolate I now want to eat is that dratted popping candy stuff, I can ignore everything else...well, a post on this forum sent me to another forum where I learnt another use for popping candy which certainly opened my eyes...let's just say I look at it in a different light now :rotfl:)

Can I join please. Normally start some crazy fad diet after new year but want to change and have more healthy approach. Aiming for 18 pounds in 12 week challenge. Will weigh on 4th and watch what eat over weekend but not going to start 100 % until Monday when off work and can do a bit of planning. Have set myself a challenge to use my healthy eating cookbooks and try new recipes.Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0
