Afternoon all.
My attempt at staying the same has failed miserably - I've put on 1 1/2 kg (3 and a bit pounds) since I left the thread a couple of weeks ago.So I'm back, with a new target - I want to lose 4kg (9lbs, near enough) by Easter - that should be easily do-able if I can get my head right. (Which is where I've been going so wrong recently - I've been feeling really stressed and down and have slipped back into the habit of comfort eating and drinking.
)
Today goes:
B - porridge with 1 1/2 tsp sugar
S - banana
L - roast pork and mustard sandwich (no butter); mug of minestrone soup; apple
S - LF orange and mango yoghurt
D - pork and broccoli in plum sauce with rice and cabbage; small glass of red wine (I'm allowing myself one treat a day - that's today's)
Exercise - 15 min walk to the shops, and back again with shopping bags
I look forward to catching up with all your posts.Back after a very long break!0 -
Afternoon everyone, hope you’re all having a good day
I’m doing battle with the chocolate pixies at the moment so thought I would pop on here for a read to try and get rid of the urge to go to the shop! The crazy thing is that I don’t really think I’m that hungry, it’s been a bit of a slow day at work and I think that it’s probably more down to boredom than anything else. I’ve got a banana in my bag so I guess I was really hungry I would be munching through that!!
I’ve been logging my food on MFP for last month or so but thinking might start putting it on here as well. Thought if I have to put the list where other people can see it, it might make me think twice about going for the naughty snacks!
Breakfast: Weetabix Crunchy Bran and Milk
Lunch: HM Tomato and lentil soup, tiger roll, apple, bag of maize crunchies,
Snack: HM Blueberry and Bran Muffin from the WW cookbook, special K bites, 4 rice cakes (2 topped with peanut butter 2 with jam)
Dinner: Planning on Beetroot and Sweetcorn Curry and rice
Exercise: 40mins spinning
Trying to stick within my daily calorie allowance rather than using it all plus the extra I get from having done some exercise. According to MFP I get over 400 kcal for doing spinning but not sure it would be too beneficial to eat them all!
I think in the past I have tried to justify over eating by saying I'd done some exercise but in reality I'd never done enough to burn off all i ate.
Sorry this has turned in to a bit of a ramble

Welcome Back CCP x
There have been lots of us struggling to get back on track so you are not alone - far from it xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Unfortunately food was from the best of a bad bunch of choices today so
B - nil, had to leave home at 7am
L - (salty) gammon, egg, cool chips, uncooked 1/2 tomato. Apple pie, custard
D - nil, not hungry
Snacks - satsuma. apple, melon
Exercise nil.
Went to a funeral some way away and the meal afterwards was in a restaurant. The gammon was the best choice and I was so cold the pud, the only hot one on the menu, was to try to warm me up.
Will be a better day tomorrow.0 -
((hugs)) Sparrer. Sometimes you just have to go with it, and have a better day the next day.
Cooking a special dinner for DH tonight, we never go out for Valentines but I like to make a small effortI've managed to get it within my calories for the day though
Meals:
Breakfast: activia yoghurt, grapes
LuncH: Ham and laughing cow light sandwich, apple, satsumas
Dinner: roast duck leg and potatoes, peas, ben&Jerrys cookie dough ice cream
May switch the ice cream for some wine, or go crazy and have both
Had a sneaky weigh in this morning, and after the initial malfunction where the scales told me I'd lost 3.5lb since Friday, I'm a lb down. Fingers crossed it's still gone on Friday.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Morning All,
I didn't get chance to post yesterday as I was at work most of the day and then spent the evening knitting - trying to finish a jumper for DD before she comes to visit at the weekend.
Yesterday's food
B: Muesli with sultanas and skimmed milk
L: HM tomato soup and HM bread. Clementine
T: Scrambled egg on toast. Syrup sponge and custard - DS came for tea and I whipped one up for him and ended up having a helping myself.
Today's plans
B: Slice of HM granary bread toasted with HM butter and blackcurrant jam
L: HM vegetarian lasagne left over from Sunday.
T: (pack up to take to work) Not sure yet but may be last of HM tomato soup or may be a prawn salad wrap. Banana
Exercise: Yesterday walk to work and back (1.5 miles). Today walk to work but not back as it will be late so will get a lift. Maybe walk to library and back this morning if I get sorted in time.
I haven't done any of my DVDs for ages and exercise classes have been cancelled for the week as it is half term. Add to that no running as it's been too icy and I am now working lots for half term and I feel quite unfit. I have a 10K to run in 3 weeks so need to start training again, especially as I've never done one before.

Morning everyone, I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember a saying/prayer about “accepting the things I can’t do anything about” and finally did a search on t’internet and found the Serenity Prayer – didn’t realise it had been adopted by @lchoholics @non – but this is going to my Mantra for today
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.”
Why is it always the men I know that send me into a state of such frustration & anger?
Why are they so lazy and selfish?:mad:
Why can’t they just do what they say they will do?:mad::mad:
Why do I always have to ask repeatedly for things to be done?:mad::mad::mad:
As you can tell my day hasn’t got off to a good start, feel like I‘m turning into the Mother of all Nags, if I could do the job myself I would. (Deep breath) But I will not allow this to ruin my day and before you ask, no this has nothing to do with Valentines Day – hah I should be so lucky.
The one good thing about the way I’m feeling is I can direct all this negative energy into my exercise workout, think it will have to be the boxing session today and then any excess frustration will be taken out on scrubbing the bathroom tiles.
Sorry about the rant but I do feel much better having got it out there and one thing that won’t be affected is todays menu (something I am in control of)
B – Yoghurt & Fruit
L – L/O Tuna & Pasta Salad
D – Asparagus wrapped in Parma Ham, Poached Egg & grilled Tomatoes.
Hope you all have a better day.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
