    Hi all

I have been MIA a bit this week, just been incredibly busy and rushed off my feet.

    Anyway, pleased to report -2

Was hoping it might be a bit more but my period has FINALLY come (yay! I am not too fat to have a menstrual cycle!) and I am all bloated and the usual, so 2lbs is good. Of course it is only the 2 lbs I gained last week so I am not doing so well on the challenge!

Half term next week. Really need it. Absolutely shattered. Memorial assemblies today for the girl who died....I will be prepared with waterproof mascara and tissues as it is going to be awful :(

Good luck everyone with the weigh in!

A STS for me this week – despite the exercise which of course made me hungry….must have overcompensated :(.

Well I thought I could give a woop woop and announce that yesterday I had finished the painting but the light beat me and I had to give up at 5.00pm with about 1sq metre left of the hallway ceiling still to do – the previous owner had papered the hall/stair ceiling with a textured wallpaper, to hide the cracks and bumps presumably, so there was much swirling of the paint brush to fill it all in, taking longer than I expected but it will definitely be finished today….yah :j :j – next challenge, see how much old carpet I can squeeze in the back of a fiesta…. Mmmmm

    Meals yesterday =
    B – Yoghurt & mixed berries
L – Green Soup, slice of toast, pear
D – Liver in oatmeal, Brussels sprouts & sweetcorn.
S - slice of toast, digestive biscuit

Not sure what I’m having today but starting off with a poached egg on toast.
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £20.63

Hi, I forgot to weigh in before breakfast because I was up early to feed DD who stayed overnight with us before going to work early. We had a family breakfast and by the time I had mine plus 2 large mugs of tea I didn't think the weight would be accurate. Will give mine tomorrow.

Yesterday was a good day except the vege burgers weren't low carb, I made them with Aduki beans and oats, coated with breadcrumbs. However I only ate two small ones and it was my only high carb food, I can't imagine it has done a lot of damage. Instead of having soup and yogurt at lunch I had tuna mayo salad so all the other meals were almost zero carb.

Still off sugar which is such a conquest for me! Hoping to stick to it until my addiction subsides a bit.

    Today:

    B. egg, mushrooms and veg sausages
    L. It will have to be the soup that I did not have yesterday, yogurt and seeds
    D. Broccoli and blue cheese bake, salad

Just a thought, am going to college where the kitchen is always ridden with all varieties of biscuits. Need to gather my strength to resist them, will stash my little tiffin box with almonds and Brazil nuts! Wish me luck.

    Have a good day all.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Hi All

Weighed in this morning and am sorry to report a +1lb gain, bringing my total so far to -5lbs. I guess it was inevitable given the amount of cheats I've had this week, I'll have to reign that in and make sure to plan the naughty things in and be good when I know there's something naughty coming up.

Well done to the losers and stsers, and hugs to officeguru I can't imagine having to deal with what you're going through at the moment :(

    Hi all

Well after not weighing last week after my many beer festivals, and then this week with what feels like eating a small countries worth of food, not surprisingly I have put on +3 which puts me back to the start of my aim! I'm not too disheartened as I have proved to myself over the past few weeks that if I put my mind to it and eat properly then I can lose it so still going to stay strong and aim for 10lbs this month, just got to work doubly hard to do it.

Got another meal tonight and one tomorrow and then from Sunday I shall be good, haven't got any overly bad weeks over the remainder (except the lead up to Xmas but hopefully can fix it before then!).

Bring it on!!!! And good luck to everyone, and well done to losers :p

Good luck avoiding the biscuits Caterina! I have the same problem at work, sweeties and cakes brought in every time there's a birthday or occasion. If there's nothing there I don't miss it but when they are there I can't seem to stop myself!

Stuck to plan yesterday, had a cheeky weight check which said I'm down a lb, will do a proper weigh in tomorrow morning as I think that would be a week. Plus I'm usually too sleepy/running late through the week to remember!

    Today's plan;
    B - bagel
L - soup and salad or a baguette
    T - mince and tatties
E - tackling the room of death!

Weekend won't be brilliant diet wise as it's our house warming tomorrow and I anticipate copious amounts of cocktails being quaffed! Food wise though I'm going to do a big pot of stovies in the SC along with a cold buffet or sandwiches etc so relatively healthyish!

    Have a good day all

Not posted for a couple of days because I'm on my pitty pot. I'm not usually a miserable person but this constant giddiness is beginning to get me down. However I'm sure this too shall pass, as they say
Thank you ellie, still got another couple of tests next Tues, then just have to wait for results. Meantime I'll enjoy a few days in Malta from next Friday :)
OG thinking of you and the in-laws, hoping things improve soon

Lost a 'massive' .3lb this week so am declaring another STS. With last weeks.4 loss it's only 1/2 lb, hoping next week will tip the balance as I have to make a proper effort before my trip. My summer trousers have to fit well, can't afford new clothes just for a week away!

B - stewed apple, ff Greek yogurt
L - Grilled Cumberland sausage, rasher lean back bacon (lucky dog get the more fatty til end), sautee'd red onion & 2 small new potatoes, mushrooms, dry-fried egg. I love Friday's after weigh in, been looking forward to this all week!
T - back to sensible, 3 Crackerbread spread with ff Greek yogurt, vegemite, rf cheese & pickle, marmalade.
    S -melon, satsuma, carrot batons
E - kitchen floor, strip off guest bed and replace the bottom sheet with a new one which is deeper. Didn't think about that when I bought the new, very deep mattress. Was hilarious trying to put the old one on, three corners were all that would fit, every time I put the fourth one on at least one of the others would spring off :D. Other than that, most jobs can be done sitting down.

The sun has just appeared so am going to take the washing off the rack and get it outside while I can.
Hope it's shining where you are :)

Hi, sts again this week which I'm quite content with really. Obviously I'd like to lose some but I'm more interested in not gaining. I'll keep plodding on and hopefully I will gradually shed a few more pounds. I only want to lose maybe half a stone altogether now, which will put me just into the top of the "normal" range of BMI instead of the overweight where I am now. But as I started out with morbidly obese, overweight feels good to me!
