HAPPY BIRTHDAY SACHATITH:bdaycake:
Morning Folks
Had an early start to get the car to the garage for its service and a 4 mile walk home, half of which is uphill, so at least that’s some exercise done and just had my breakfast. I stocked up on paint yesterday so I am confined to barracks continuing with the painting
I’m itching to get going with the wallpapering – just to get a glimpse of how the overall effect will start to look but being very discipline, for me, and carrying on with the boring job of painting.
Meals today =
B – Yoghurt & stewed apples
L – Surprise soup from the freezer – lentil & veg I think
D – Some sort of pasta bake??Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54

Good morning all. Happy birthday SACHATITH.
I've been thinking about adding some exercise to my day but then getting gloomy as the weather is a tad variable at the moment. And then I had a lightbulb moment. I work in a nice big office with a stairwell that goes up 8 floors. I think a few circuits walking up and down them every day would do if the rain/snow/howling gales stop me from walking outside.
I've still got the rest of this week to get this new habit ingrained mind you, I've got to learn from past mistakes where I've taken on too many changes all at once and become overwhelmed by them.

Hi all and thank you for the birthday wishes
Not going to be a good day today food wise but hey ho, it's my birthdayhave stuck to being good on the days I'm not going out for meals etc although have run out of time for exercise but one is better than none!
Only had one slice of toast this morning instead of two and haven't bought my normal muesli and yogurt mid-morning snack in because I made coffee and walnut cake to bring in. I know it is changing healthy for unhealthy but at least its reducing the additional calories!Debt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -

L - broccolli and stilton soup with salad

Hi All,
Just to say that m-i-law is in hospital.. which is even further away, and she is quite poorly - although better than she was on Saturday... I just had a call from the hospital doctor, who needed some info on her... but at least she is in good hands.. Meanwhile, f-i-law, he is recovering at home from his fall.. He doesn't know he fell.. but it's a problem making sure he eats...
I'll come back on as soon as I can.. and I'll try not to put on any weight in the meantime, although when I worry, I tend to munch...:o
This morning, I made pasta sauce... 2 slices off a smoked bacon joint... diced and thrown in the pot (along with a little olive oil.. I had one of these pkts of olives in the fridge that hadn't been eaten, so I rinsed them and threw them in as well.. I added chopped sweet peppers (the last from the greenhouse) .. some parsley.. (the basil had not survived the last cold spell) .. As always, a carrot cut into 4 and a stalk of celery.. One bottle of passata, salt, a little sugar and a little vinegar.. a glug of port (didn't want to open up a bottle of red wine.. and someone (most likely my betterhalf - unless the cats have taken up drinking) had drank my martini... I usually buy a cheap bottle out of lidl or a supermarket and use it for my pasta sauces.. and the port had been lying since last Christmas... (I'm surprised that wasn't drunk as well) ... So tonight, I'll just have to cook the pasta...
Take care everyone, I'll bounce back in when I get a chance...0 -
Sending best wishes to you and yours, officeguru0

Interim weigh-in this morning and I've gained a pound - how? Why?! I wouldn't mind if I knew what I was doing wrong, but I genuinely don't.
Having said that, I don't think today is going to improve things - my DM is coming over and we'll be out for lunch and dinner, and I can't see myself sticking to tiny portions of pure veggies, somehow!
OG - so sorry to hear things are still difficult - hugs to you all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all,
afraid I went somewhat off plan yesterday. Went up to the restuarant at lunch for my soup and they had a chickpea and potato curry so had that with rice.
Had homemade soup out for tea but had to go out to pick up a bed from my sister, on the way back the BF decided he'd go to the chipper.... So soup for tea tonight instead!
On the plus side I took the stairs at work again this morning.
today is;
B - bagel
L - either soup (parsnip and courgette!?!) if I fancy it or a tuna
baguette
T - veg soup
Sorry to hear about your inlaw troubles OG, hope they are both en route to feeling better.
