That 2pm Legoland and Blackpool Oct half term restriction have been removed for 2012 on a Standard pass.0
-
Oh thats great, so its only parking that you pay for and a few select events? That makes it more worthwhile. Thankyou0
-
Just looked at the merlin website and can't see anywhere that says the restriction has been removed - you would think they would publicise it better if that is the case wouldn't you.0
-
I don't think the restrictions have been removed. It states them clearly on the website and on the blackpool Tussauds link above.
eta. the legoland site makes no mention of restrictions aplying to legoland entry during August.0 -
They have 100% removed Legoland August restriction and Blackpool half term, I have an email from them that they sent to all pass holders a couple of months ago, I have spoken to them on the phone and it is on their Facebook page. They will update the website in early 2012.
Parking is a bit expensive Warwick Castle is £6 to £10 and I heard Alton Towers is £8. I know people buy one premium pass to get free parking? As may be worth it? As it says upgrade from offer price for £35pp, so £35 gets you free parking.0 -
This is the offer from their facebook page, standard passes only but there is a way to get premium passes with this offer:
"If you would like a Premium Merlin Annual Pass you can purchase a Standard Individual Merlin Annual Pass via the 50% sale and pay an additional £35pp to upgrade to a Premium Individual Pass."
Full details and exclusions etc here:

I'd love it if they removed the Legoland restriction, but it is clearly printed on the pass I bought yesterday, and remains on the main web site. (link)
I am signed up for the newsletter so perhaps they will confirm the change on there.
As for parking, Alton Towers is currently £5 and most of the other places are £2-£3, so it depends how many times you go whether paying the extra £35 to upgrade one pass to a Premium is worthwhile.
Cheers

As I have already said the Legoland August restriction is 100% removed from standard pass. No idea why they are saying it still stands.0
