As far as I'm aware you can't buy the 50% off passes online.
You have to go to one of the places where it's valid for to purchase.
I had to go to legoland in the Trafford centre Manchester to buy mine!Sealed Pot Member 1269VSP... TO UPDATE!
No more toiletries challenge..... Making progress! :TGROCERY CHALLENGE £100 January 2012 :jI MUST RESIST CHOCOLATE! WELL SOME OF IT ANYWAY!:EasterBun:EasterBun:EasterBun0 -
I went to the London Eye and bought our passes from there, it wasn't advertised there and the person who served us was asking how we knew about the offer... I felt a bit sorry for the tourists who were paying £100's to visit the London attractions and didn't have any idea about the offer.0

This offer wasn't advertised at Madame Tussards at London either even though Merlin told me it would be as I was a bit worried going down there and then not able to buy it at half price.
You can't buy this online, Merlin did advertise the sale for a few days but the advert was so badly worded it was removed from their website as it just confused everyone and Merlin had loads of customers calling them.
Here is what I know for sure...
This offer will end soon so if you want a half price pass I would suggest you get one this week but you have to visit the attraction. Suggest you call the attraction to make sure it's open. Phone numbers can be obtain from the web.
The card I brought last week still shows on it that legoland is limited to after 2pm in August. Hopefully Merlin and Legoland will make it clear soon that this restriction has been lifted for 2012. Can't believe how badly this offer has been advertised, it like they don't want anybody to know about it...I wonder why???
You can't buy this online and most of the attractions websites are still showing the full price.
Hope this helps.

Hi all.
I was so pleased. The kids didn't want Anything for Xmas so I suggested the passes instead. I said would be better to get them later on though as we won't go yet so should delay start date.
Went to sealife Weymouth on my way home to hampshire from Devon today. They don't have a working card making machine so issued gift vouchers. She said she wasn't certain but thought the start date would be the day I redeem them for passes. Anyone know if this is true?
We are so excited as we have had to reign things in last two years but what I have learned from you guys and the email means I had save enough for these now times are slightly better.

If they are gift vouchers, then they will be valid from the date you hand them and get them converted to an actual pass. Therefore, you got a great deal, so you can possibly wait until all the main parks open late March, then get a full year from then.
Sounds great, well done!0 -
Got ours today from Mme Tussauds. No signage up to indicate half price and they certainly weren't pushing the deal. I spoke to the lady issuing and said I thought they'd be mobbed with people looking to buy. She stated they had had 25 applications that day for them as if that were alot. Considering we are 5, that's not many at all.
Cheers OP, this is a great offer and going to save us LOADS this year as all our days out are now planned! Can't wait. Now to work out the car parking charges and see if it is worth upgrading one pass for our intended usage.0 -
This is not quite as good deal as the current £78 but if you are unable to purchase the passes within the next few weeks during the offer this is an ongoing offer from NHS Discounts http://www.nhsdiscounts.com
Family of 3, 4, 5 £85.44 per person save £21.36 / 20%
Premium Pass
Family Group 3, 4, 5 £109.44 per person save £27.36 / 20%
You just purchase via a telephone number given on the site and quote the code given.
You don't have to be an NHS employee to register, the options given when registering are NHS Staff, NHS Staff Family, NHS Staff Friends (everyone must have at least 1 friend in the NHS), NHS Foundation Trust Members, National Blood Service, St John & St Andrews Ambulance.0 -
Thanks. That is good news. Originally we planned to buy them in march so 2013 we could have a quick few last trips to the big three. Might use them late half term week though and fingers crossed we can get a last trip early half term 2013. You just never know where the term dates fall eh?
I've planned my annual leave and visiting people i know around merlin attractions for the next year. Lol. Must start saving for fuel now...
Think they know they won't sell too many though. I have told friends who usually do the merlin attractions every year but they are wiped out by Xmas, January sales and just can't get to an attraction. Nearest is 1.5 hr drive. Clever merlin. They will rip off plenty of people again this year...0 -

Did they do the cards for you there and then, or were you given the gift voucher?
I really want to do this, but am trying to avoid dragging the children to London to do it, as I get free train travel and they don't!
I would like 2 cards, plus a free carer card for me as my son gets DLA. Not done merlin passes for a while, and son only recently started getting DLA, so with the half price plus free carer it makes for a really good deal.
If anyone has had any luck buying for anyone else without them being there please let me know!0 -

We want the pass primarily for legoland and it says you cant go before 2pm in august which would be a pain.
Also paying for parking would add up i guess??I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j
