Thanks oakeyrose and LS, I'm going to do the same as I don't want the passes to start until March/April.0

Thanks for this ladyshopper.
Think I might do the same as you, and tell them my friend told me about the offer :-) Works better for me this way if we have 3 months to collect as we wont use them until February half term....
You have definately confirmed for me now that I am getting these - putting off as I dont really have the 'spare' money but if £250 off pays for family entertainment throughout the year, then great! I should be able to get mine and DH passes with tesco clubcard points once january points come through!!0 -

I was completely honest and told them I'd read about them doing it on a forum. The lady didn't bat an eyelid!
Can't wait to start using these. As KarenBB said, Warwick Castle isn't too far from me, and it is a really good day out, but not convinced the weather this weekend would have been good enough so glad I didn't have to drive there. Will definitely take a trip when the weather is better though.
Have a booked a cheap travelodge break to Blackpool at Easter (£15 a night) so will be making full use of passes there as the Blackpool Tower is now part of the Merlin Group.0 -
So tempted to do this as our plan this year is to get more UK things visited!
Does anybody know for sure that you cannot use the Tesco clubcard vouchers alongside this deal? Just a thought.....
No you can't, the merlin pass is a set amount of clubcard vouchers that you have to exchange online, they then send you the voucher for the merlin pass that you take to one of the attractions and swap for your pass.0 -
Hey guys, just to let you know it has been confirmed this morning that the offer will run until the 31st January. So pleased as we couldn't afford it this month but can now use Januarys pay packet :j
Just to add this was on their facebook page :-)0 -
We are down in Cornwall but I am geting my Merlin half price tickets sent by post from the Sea Life centre at Gweek. They don't issue ( but can take payment for ) the Merlin tickets normally anyway, they send you an equivalent that you get done properly on your first use of the ticket( for us this will be Alton Towers in May). I could of picked this up but offered to pay the cost of recorded post (£6) to save a trip.
Havent got them yet (!) but all paid for , will let you know what turns up ! HTH
Thank you so much! Great post. Have just phoned Gweek sea life and got my vouchers. Saved me a trip to London this week.
I phoned Merlin before and asked when the 50% off ran out and she said they didn't have an end date, but advised me to get it by this weekend.0 -
Is it worth it for me? I've 2 children 10 & 14 + me (elder ones can afford to pay for themselves)
I'll prob only go to AT and normally only go with BOGOF vouchers. Am in the South West so not sure what else is 'local' to me. 1 day is never enough so hope to go at least twice during the school holidays.
Thanks0 -

If you are definitely only going to go to Alton Towers you would be better off getting their annual pass which is £66 if there are 3 or more of you, if your older children are going to would make sense to buy the passes together as cheaper for 3 or more otherwise they would pay £70 each.
It depends how often you are going to go though, if you only go once and get bogof you in effect only have to pay for 1 day so would only be about £30 each.
Full list of attractions - not much is South West.
