Ditch 100 things in January 50/100
Still flitting around the house getting rid of random stuff instead of concentrating on one place so still feel I can't see a difference. But when I see it written down here I do feel better.
Thinking back about today, I have done loads - the ironing, dusted my dressing table, one wardrobe is totally sorted (apart from the pile of cross stitch magazines in the bottom). Emptied some small storage boxes and put loads of computer bits that were scattered around the house in them. The spare room is starting to look a little bit better and the drawers in the sitting room now have space in them.
The plus side is have found a 1kg of navy wool and two other packs of wool and also a couple of bags of toy stuffing.
40 – 2 handbags and assorted rubbish in them (receipts from when I bought son’s cot!)
41 - 42 – 2 boxes of free CDs from computer magazines and newspapers
43 – tidied and filtered 2 drawers next to computer into one
44 – cleaned and tidied top shelf and bottom of wardrobe and threw various carp out
45 – cheap vase filled with pot pourri (at least 10 years old) (recycle bin)
46 – at least 50 PC CD games (so old some recommended loading in DOS)
47 – 1 old broken CD holder
48 – 1 new pack of cheap knickers (minus 1 pair) that don’t fit (recycled to garage for rags)
49 - 2 old sunglasses cases
50 – 3 empty boxes from several years agoDitch 100 in January Challenge 100/100

Ditch 100 in April Challenge 75/1000 -
More additions from me:
19 and 20 - Summer tops from clearing out the "summer clothes" bag under the bed - Charity Clothes Bag
Pfft - felt like more but that must be because I've had a busy day cooking and cleaning. Although I've done the shopping list for tomorrow having looked in the fridge BEFORE leaving the house so there's very little on there and subsequently should be very little thrown away (here's hoping!).How long til pay day?
March Grocery Challenge - £69.54 / £3000 -
Nothing more to add yet. And really it is not mine but my husbands.
We have sorted some more books out, it seems he has 4 books that he can get nearly £30 from Amazon trade in :j not bad seeing as one of the other sites only wanted to give 30p for one that Amazon will give over £8 for
I have tons pending at the moment at the moment. But will be requesting that husband goes in to town tomorrow to take more stuff to the Charity Shop.
Also found a box for music magpie that was never sent
Yours

2 bags of stuff for my nephew - books, games, dvds
2 phone boxes for phones I don't even have any more
made a slight start on the 'cupboard of doom' which is full of toys my kids have stuffed in there when they were supposed to be tidying up. can't face it today though.0 -
Reading some of the posts, and having a few giggles, I'm thinking we'd make a fab reality TV show between us all!
Well done to everyone who's done something this weekend, however small you feel it was. Everything counts! :T
I have the alarm engineer round tomorrow. Must make sure upstairs looks reasonable for his visit cos the faulty monitor is on the landing :rotfl:. Need to get the hoover out but might wait until the last minute for that!0 -
I started off so well, until the end of the week when I had a very stressful few days.
They've taken their toll and I've been poorly the last couple of days. I've lost my energy & determination to declutter, can anyone please inspire me again?96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -

MY tip: have a break and pamper yourself and go back to it when you feel better in yourself. I know there's a place for 'just getting on with it' at times, but I think for decluttering you need to be in a positive frame of mind otherwise you aren'nt going to get anywhere. Can you pamper yourself with a nice drink and have something scrummy to eat in front of a DVD instead?? (Sorry if I'm tempting you into slothful ways when you want inspiration to declutter!)0 -
If you need to declutter your home of cats, then picture 2 has the solution
(Is anyone seriously going to spend £284 on a cat litter self-flushing box?? You'd still have to empty it yourself!)0 -
I'm definately going to have to declutter in a couple of months as me and the boyfriend are moving in together and there just wont be enough room for all our stuff together. Also I've just accumulated so much rubbish that I'm just going to have to be ruthless!September Grocery Challenge £0/£2250

I love your way of thinking, and I've decided to stop feeling guilty today and relax on the settee.
I'm going to start decluttering tomorrow with a renewed vengeance!!
Thank you for the encouragement to relax, I think you're right96 items decluttered so far in 20130
