7 days left of October (from today to the 31st)
You have 64 items left off your target.
64/7=9.14 items to get rid of each day!
Make it 10 items per day and you'll even exceed your target!
Achievable! You can do it!:money:Chuck it out... No, wait, we can fix it. No, it's useful. Aww, it's too good to throw away. Keep it as a memory. Put it to one side, I'll ebay it. No, it'll come in handy one day. No, don't throw it, if you ____, then you can use it as a _____. Don't put it in the bin, the tip has a special section for those.0 -
Not much to report. I cleaned out my car today though, 2 carrier bags of rubbish, about 6 kids water bottles washed, a few clothes/coats washed and loads of toys put back in toy drawers. Cleaned 1 kids car seat cover too, which reminds me i need to pop it back on the seat.
Done 3 wash loads so far and the dishwasher but not really done any decluttering. Though im thinking of going upstairs and trying to do something if the kids will play nicely!

Today I haven't really decluttered as there isn't as much clutter left in the house anymore and I have to kind of sneak things out. More things have proper homes now and aren't just floating around. Most the clutter is in the outhouse/storage room waiting to go to the charity shop, I plan to take it a bag at a time when I go into town. But I have been putting things into their homes, finding new homes for things, deep cleaning and general cleaning, it is so much easier without the clutter around! She told me today that she loves the makeover of the house and I plan to keep going, it really does look great. It is really helping at the moment as am really depressed and it helps take my mind of things. I've got 3 items to post tomorrow, the eBay box is getting smaller and smaller
Is anyone else really noticing the difference?
Now working on my eBay spreadsheet, it's been a while!0 -
Well....... today I did something that I haven't done for months: I actually did the ironing!!! I absolutely detest ironing, and usually just hang my clothes up and wear them unironed. (Hubby does his own). But this morning I got the ironing board and iron out, and stood and ironed 7 things, including 3 of hubby's shirts!!! Go me..... it wasn't that bad to be honest...
Also tidied up a bit in the spare bedroom, and chucked out a pair of sandals that I had been hanging on to. I bought a pair to replace them in June, but as the old ones were so comfy couldn't bear to get rid of them. They were falling apart though, and as I'm not wearing sandals any more this year, I decided they had to go! So, another breakthrough!
So in the past 2 days:
28. Library book returned
29. Tea infuser in shape of a teapot - going to charity shop
30. Bag of mini bricks bought by mistake - charity shop
31. Pair of tatty sandals - bin
32. Lots of fabric made into morsbags which will be let loose in the world tomorrow or Friday
Got a viewer for the house tomorrow, but really can't get motivated to do a deep clean and tidy up. The house is tidy, it just needs the hoover going over it and a few bits put away. It will have its 'lived in' look rather than 'show house' look this time!!!
I, too, am 68 items short of my 100 target this month: 7 days left, so 10 items a day. Hmmmm, shouldn't be too hard normally, but I don't have too much left to declutter now. As suzeesu2000 said, every item out is a bonus so I am not going to beat myself up over it.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Sorry for being counterproductive but dry foods should be fine after their date, same goes for rice, pasta, lentils, etc.
Best to open things up and have a look and smell.
Even crisps, etc.
And I also read someone on here who chucked out some out of date plasters! Really?
As much as you want to declutter, don't waste perfectly good food! Always open it up and check!Chuck it out... No, wait, we can fix it. No, it's useful. Aww, it's too good to throw away. .
I eBay/send for weighing brand new/worn once shoes that get on my nerves, don't fit or hurt my feet and just wear the same old stuff until they fall apart! And in some cases, I can't bear to wear things because I feel that they're 'too good'! :undecidedChuck it out... No, wait, we can fix it. No, it's useful. Aww, it's too good to throw away. Morning everyone,
Loopychris I did some ironing yesterday as well. I don't iron, ever! There must have been something in the air!
I tried really hard to declutter some stuff on Freecycle yesterday but the people who had asked for the things didn't turn up.
Happy decluttering everyone.:)0 -
Morning all
tidied my larder yesterday disposing of all empty packs, etc....most to recycle bin. Cleaned and organised shelves so have more of an idea of what I have now. Brushed floor now only needs washed. So I can close the door on it and know it is really neat and tidy.
Today going to sort lots of papers and tidy dining room. Have an electrician arriving this afternoon to replace some lights/bulbs with new more energy efficient ones. So will tidy like crazy when he is here too.
Utility room is next on my radar. Boy it is a mess.
all the best and happy de cluttering.0
