At the docs for minor op this afternoon, so won't get much done today, except I had an awning from the loft collected by a freecycler this morning woo hoo.
Tomorrow is all the paperwork in my bedroom is to be sorted/shredded. This will free up a draw for my bathroom mats. Nearly clutter free in there - just a bit more to go. Then it will be on to the Kitchen next - a big job.0 -
I have just discovered the Amazon book trade in as a possible way to get rid of some books and get Amazon vouchers in return as I do spend a lot on there. Has anyone else used this?0

I have some items like boden & laura ashley clothes & wondered if it was still worth the ebay route. Also, what would you advise for ps2 games & dvd's - what would be the best way to sell?
Hi freedom2011 - this will be a good place to start I suspect, and may lead to some other useful threads: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/598590

Hi! I used the Amazon trade-in recently when decluttering the book shelves. Most were low value books but if you have loads it soon mounts up. You don't need to pay postage, just print off a pre-paid label, box the books up and take them to the Post Office.
What I have noticed though is that the trade-in value offered varies on a daily basis. I had one book offering £25 trade-in one day and it had fell to £4 the next
It's still on the shelf waiting for the day when the value jumps up again!
And I like having a credit balance on Amazon to fund future purchases!
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the info Allison

I have 2 books that will net me about a tenner so far ie Jamie's 30 Minute Meals and Biotechnology for beginners. Plus a Cake Pops book I know I will never use despite my best intentions! I need to go back into the charity shop bag and see what books I put in there. Knowing I can get something for the books will be an added incentive to get rid. that is bad news re the book that went from £25 to £4 though :shocked:0 -
FF74, have you tried We Buy Books, Fatbrain and Zapper as well? Some take different items and some give more money:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Managed to do a little bit today: daughter came round this morning, she's got really swollen glands and wanted some paracetamol. Had a look through the medicine box to find her some, then decided to carry on sorting and get rid of all out of date items. So, one more job ticked off the list, even if a bit unplanned.
So....
87. Loads (about 30) of out of date medicines and plasters (never knew plasters had use by dates!) to go to chemists
88. House buying book returned to daughter
89. Junk mail chucked in recycling as it arrived
Granddaughter delivered safely back home along with assorted paraphanalia that comes with her! House looking very untidy as we haven't cleaned up after her yet.... that's my mission for tomorrow. Hoping to get it back to 'viewer-ready' status (we're hoping to sell it).Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Evening, sorted out a wee bit of paperwork but that's it since I last posted.
Really need to crack on with the rubbish in the cot seeing as I have just over 5 weeks until my due date
Husband got an early birthday present of a massage chair and footstool so those are quite big, eBay bargain I'm pleased to say, but never the less, that's come in so something must go out!
