School is now back in full flow and so is my workload! I have managed to keep on top of things though at home.

I have shredded paper (compost bin)
    2 books (sister)
Put stuff straight into recycling bins, instead of sorting "later"

The next big sort out will be October halfterm, will sort out the wardrobes for winter.

    Have fun

  • Only one thing to add to my list, but have done loads of housework:

143-one wooden, painted toy horse to cs

    143/150
  • Two bags of books to my SIL today, for her kids school book and bake sale. That makes one more whole bookcase that doesn't have any double-stacked shelves :D

Sorted through toiletries as well. Have enough half used tubes and pots of body lotion to keep me going for a year!

    Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on your thread and you have inspired me! My house is not too bad, but has been stressing me out with some mess and not being cleaned regularly.

So, i have started decluttering and cleaning a bit at a time and feel better already. We have a little girl who has just turned 2 and hubby works full time and I work 3 days/week. The 2 days I have with LO go very quickly and I don't get much chance to get things things done as we are out and about and playing etc.

So, I am finding the most useful approach is to do a little bit here and there. Tonight I have hoovered downstairs and polished our bedroom.

    This week I want to:
    - sort out the top half of the big cupboard (floor to ceiling) next to the cellar door
    - rearrange my larder pull-out cupboard and get rid of anything that is out of date (don't think there's anything, but may be one or two odd bits)
    - declutter hubby's holey socks to the charity shop rag bag
-try to make space in a drawer for the wrapping paper etc
    - find out when the next free ebay listing day is.

That's enough to be going on with I think! This is on top of the usual washing, keeping the kitchen tidy, cooking etc.

Wish me luck! And good luck to all my fellow declutterers!

    Evening!

Been on a hen do all weekend but managed to use the last of my lush shower gel, so 1 bottle binned. Got rid of the bubbly I've had since Xmas too!

This afternoon once I got back I re arranged under the stairs and got rid of

    An Xbox live manual thing
    Some random wall plugs
    An old car seat cover
    Old cd case artwork

Not much but it looks better for being rearranged.

Whilst I was away hubby bought a kids DVD and a hairbrush for DD. hoping there is nothing else bar the food he bought lol

Not managed a great deal this weekend as have felt shocking and spent the last two afternoons in bed but a Freecycler called today and relieved me of

    September Sling 46/100

    46 6 x 3m lengths of artex Coving - Freecycle

Have only counted as 1 as they were all boxed together - I won them in a competition a couple of years ago, so at least someone is going to make good use of it at last.

    Night all xx

Hi, Can I join in please, I hate clutter :D

There was a small declutter today. We swopped broad band a couple of months ago and I'd kept the old modem and cables in case Talk Talk asked for it back. They hadn't so far, so out that box went.

It only small but it really had been in the way, and of course you always see the small things, don't you.
