Certainly not - it's good to have friends on here who can make me chuckle when in the middle of it all.

Re the turtle - can you remember the origin? So many of those kind of things wander into my life, and I can't think why!

    Glad it made you chuckle!

Oh yes,I remember well where I bought it.It a few years ago at the Montreux Jazz Festival,of all places. There are loads of stalls along the lakeside during the festival.I think that I bought it just to buy something.:o

It's very small, but I've decided that it's just more clutter and has to go.

ps the wobbley head is intentional,it's not broken.
  • The positive thing about all these things can be the good memories we have. I'm now allowing myself to part with my African things because I still remember it all very well (lived there for 10 years and closely involved for another 20), and even if I pass them on to others, no-one can take away that part of my life. When I put the large drum on freecycle I was thrilled to get about a dozen responses - another will love it as much as I have. When it's no longer adding to my life, I can call it clutter and pass it on. (And I must confess to having more so I'm not completely bereft :o)

You're so right.I think that it's something that I'm slowly acquiring.

Here is what I managed today:

    -18 dvds to sell
    -1 tablecloth for Mum
-2 pairs of oven gloves to cs
    -some plastic sheeting to bin
-2 ornaments (including the aforementioned turtle!)
-lots of plastic food packaging binned
-1 small cloth bag to cs
    -2 wooden badges to cs
    -2 magazines recycled

I'm quite pleased with what I've managed.

  • Today I became ex-Treasurer of my quilt group, so I handed over all the books and accounts to the new Treasurer.

    50. Accounts book, folders, paying in book to new Treasurer
    51. Morsbag (cloth bag) that all the above lived in

Hubby made a lovely chilli tonight, we had that with jacket potato, salad and the rest of the bottle of Pimms!

    52. 1/4 bottle Pimms

I forgot to add something yesterday, so will add it today:

    53. Roll of lawn edging - charity shop

Might do a bit more clothes sorting tomorrow, but as everything has been shoved in wardrobes, cupboards, drawers and bags because we've got someone viewing the house, I don't know if I'll bother untidying it all. Might just have a day off and contemplate the rest of the things on the 'to do' list!

  • Won't be listing my "outs" until Tuesday as I have loads still to go from eBay, sold loads today, am VERY chuffed and even hubby is saying "cor that will be loads gone" bless him!

Have been lazy this week, haven't really decluttered anything. Am sure I shall feel as if I have got rid of something when we start posting the eBay stuff. The post office is going to LOVE us!!

Have a great Sunday all, keep up the good work.
