There must be at least 60 DVDs, loads of cards from my card making, walking boots, motorcycle boots, fishing tackle, catapults, odds 'n' ends, more glass paints, two bags of general rubbish and more!! He is a real Gem. Also found enough medical supplies to stock a small hospital (hubby has cancer and is always being sent home with supplies) Had a huge carrier bag full of packaging and instructions from his drugs alone.
So September has started well, he will have to rest up for a few days now, but that gives me time to list the eBay stuff, take photos etc. Will list everything properly as it's sold.
Well done everyone for August. :T
Come on September, I'm ready for ya!:rotfl:Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

So yes, even though it has been replaced, you're still one down.;)
Not sure if I'll manage anything tonight.Had a busy day at work and working again tomorrow.
Ok, as I've not done too well this month, I'll count the airer, lol!bonnie_bumpkins wrote: »97. lots of money decluttered at the hairdresser's this afternoon
I'm nearly there!!
Saw my dad today, who'd just had his hair cut, and he moaned that it had cost £5, he couldn't believe it when I said mine costs £25, lol!
Forgot to add yesterday that last week I emptied the pasta jar (which has been unused for over 3 years, and contained pasta with BB of December 2009!), binned the pasta and gave the jar to DS, as OH and I don't eat pasta and I only used to buy it for DS.
Now I store my food processor on the worktop, instead of in a box under the stairs, I took the accessories out of the box and put them in a drawer in the kitchen. Also in the box I had a chip cutting attachment, which belonged to an old processor, I don't know why I kept it as I have the same attachment for the current one, and the old one doesn't fit that one anyway, so that is now in the CS box.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Well, the end of the month came and went and I forgot to post before midnight on the 31st August! However I had found a few things to list Thursday and Friday....
177. More craft magazines - charity shop
178. Patchwork book - going in raffle at quilt group next weekend
179. 10 sacks of cans (given to us by local people for recycling, but we've decided we're not doing it any more so put out for roadside recycling)
180. Odd playing cards (not odd, but a few that didn't belong to any other packs)
181. 5 rubber stamps - charity shop
182. Loads of 'ephemera' from my crafting days - charity shop
183. Plastic case that the above items were in - charity shop
184. Cloth grocery bag that the above items were taken to charity shop in
185. Washing line cover that had split - bin
186. Old shower curtain repurposed into new rotary washing line cover
So my total for August is 186/100.... roll on September Sling...!!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Love it BonnieBumpkins -There is a concept called 'active procrastination'; basically, it questions the view of procrastination as a negative trait resulting in undesirable outcomes, suggesting that procrastination is an intended action.
Gosh, I know I procrastinate but most of my clutter is stored in case I need it. Often when I buy something new I keep the old one 'just in case' and to change the decor slightly by changing cushions, throws, lampshades etc.
I've thrown some more old damaged lampshades and some mags.0 -
Morning fellow declutterers,
We have cleared out loads over the past 3 days but I haven't listed any of it as it hasn't left the house yet.
We are attempting our first car boot tomorrow with all of it.
Any tips?
Happy decluttering everyone.:)0 -

my clutter is in every room and when i clear one area only a couple of bits at best, get charity or recyclend all that happens is at best it gets moved. i have now got to the stage that being disabled so my contributions in sorting it is limited and so would fall to 21 yr old ds. not what he would enjoy doing. i keep saying if we get it to a manageable level it would not take too long to have a wizz around at the weekend or even a cleaner for a couple of hours a week. but its just not happening and the minute i get in the door it hits me again and as ds says sets me off moaning. but it just really upsets me, i do what i can and have found ways around things such as in between my son washing floors which could be once a fortnight if i am lucky, i buy the wet ones you get for floors and put two on floor i then stand on them and kind on slide around floor. they come up surprisingly well. this like everyone else on here must be done in 2012 i cant face another year of it, plus my mum has terminal cancer and i want her to stay here when she gets really bad, although she disagrees as i struggle with pain alot myself, but want it proper clean before that the answer would be to move to a nicy empty house and just take certain essantials from here and leave the rest. my mum knowing me too well says what would that achieve i would soon have it the same. thanks for reading i am off to read a few more to build up my resolve and then go out to an ice cream festival in north london (if anyone else is looking for excuse to put the hoover down) it looks to be quite fun and then i will return and go through my bags i must have at least office type bags which could go to charity and maybe a couple that were impulse buys and never grew on me that i might try on ebay. bye for now and remember room wasnt built in a day0
