Oooh! I am lagging this month. First I had flu, then poor old hubby gets it and that makes one of his other health problems rear up so the poor old soul has been in bed for a week now
I am proper fed up cos I hate to see him suffer and I can't get on with stuff!! Goodness I don't sound very sympathetic do I
Am going to copy Valk_scot and do the under the sink cupboard tomorrow. Everything tends to get shoved to the back so have got a plastic bin ready which can hold loads and slips back and forward so I will be able to see what I have got - and not buy another one because I didn't see the original lurking at tieback grrr:mad:
Have a good day tomorrow, whatever you're doing:)Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi everyone,
I'm keeping up with what's going on even though I've slowed down myself.
167. - A boxed set of children's quiz books - cs
So far, I have decluttered and sorted the study (not including DH's things ); the utility room; the kitchen; the 'cupboard of doom' under the stairs; the 'cupboard of doom' on the landing; the 'cupboard of doom' in the hall; and DD has been getting on with decluttering too. I have realised the kitchen and utility will need further attention, but I'll come to that after more pressing jobs.
The garden sheds need urgent attention - we can't actually get in them without taking stuff out. If it's dry Wednesday, that'll be the day :eek::eek:
Otherwise, inside the house, I have 'stuff' in the conservatory, so need to go through that to cs or sell, so that's my next priority.
Well done all

I've also been quiet but big result - a double bed has left the house, thanks to a freecycler!0

Been good and did both things I needed done today.
30- manky old car cleaning sponge - bin
31- dustbin & brush, brittle & broken - bin
32- spare broken dustpan brush - bin
33- various bits of packaging/wrappers - recycling
34- dried up bottle of cream cleaner - bin
35- tub of creme fraiche - food recycling bin
One chest freezer emptied so now being defrosted yeah me!:j
Under the sink is so tidy that it' scary:rotfl: have all my stuff in three sliding bins so it's easy to get at and see.
Even darling poorly hubby wants to get in on the act! He said today that he wants to do an eBay as he has lots of stuff to go, how brilliant is that? His stuff is major, things like pushbikes, motorcycle lifts, guitars...
Bought four of those hanging up net things for the spare room wardrobe space too so can tidy more away.
I LOVE DECLUTTERING:rotfl::T:rotfl:Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

hi all
Have not been on for a few days as had a very busy weekend. However, on Friday I met up with the lady from gumtree who wanted to buy the moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner who turned out not to be a time waster after all :j so that was £25 into my ipad fund!
My 9 bags listed on ebay came to an end this weekend. the Kipling had no takers despite 15 watchers! one bag sold at the last minute though it had no watchers, for the price i put it on, a measly £2.50. the only success story was the sweaty betty gym bag which went for the princely sum of £42!so that's £60 odd into the ipad fund. am just thankful it was a free listing weekend or would be seriously hacked off.
said bags were taken to the PO and sent yesterday.
I have this Friday afternoon off so am planning to go into the loft and find some more stuff for Freecycle and declutter some of my summer clothes.
Hope everyone is having a good day0 -
Well today I took up some items (already listed) to the cs.
Plus:
93 one laquered box
94 a big bag of bubble wrap that they were happy to accept
95 I don't believe it,I can't remember what it was,but there was a no.95!
It must be the hot weather.:o0 -

I don't normally throw out food but these were both inedible!
Our holiday has been postponed till the end of the month so I have a bit more time to reach my target!0 -
Today:
133. dead tea cosy into bin
134. old dressing gown into fabric recycling
Seriously need some motivation to get backside in gear, so impressed by the lovely effort going on around this thread.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
My small update today:
106. 1 jigsaw finished and taken up to mum and dad to do
107. 1 changing mat that has seen better days - bin
More ins than out today I'm afraid: picked up 6 black bin bags of cans to be sorted and recycled, and brought a few things home from mum & dad's which will be used in a tombola on 4th September. Was also given a load of money to count and bag up from various collecting tins. None of these are permanent fixtures though, just 'in transit' on their way to other places.
We used to do a lot of fundraising and people were always passing on various bits and pieces to us for the charity; we're not so involved now so that's died down a bit, but still get given cans to recycle for our grandson's future care fund (he's got a chromosome deletion and will need care for the rest of his life) and as I'm Treasurer I get all the cash to count and bank.
I need to get on top of the can recycling tomorrow - have got someone viewing the house on Friday so I'd rather they weren't hanging around then.
Tomorrow I will get some serious decluttering done!!!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

As you can see from my signature, my decluttering journey has slowed up somewhat! That's partly because I'd done as much as I could really by the beginning of March. It's always been my goal though, to sort the loft out - something I've been putting off for a very, very long time!
Well, I started yesterday and I'm kicking myself for not having a go earlier. Once you get going it's not so bad. Now I've actually cleared some floor space at the back I feel I've made progress. I'm actually quite excited!!
My loft will never be empty (my house is small), but the aim is to have everything boxed, labeled and easily accessible. I want to use it as an extra room really.
Step 1 - sort and organize (throwing away obvious things as I go along).
Step 2 - go through with OH and take as much to the charity shop as possible.
Step 3 - store things from the house (one particular walk in cupboard needs sorting), up there so that we've got more room.
Step 4 - don't bring anything else into the house unless something goes out!
I'd love to get Step 1 finished today. Reading this thread has inspired me again!
Have a good day everyone!0
