I do understand.I hope I haven't stressed you talking about it.((hugs))The clock needs to go I think.. it annoys me so I don't ever wind it up..
the treadle... is beautiful but useless .. it does work fine but I have a monster modern one so unless we suddenly run out of leccy it too is useless for anything other than looking pretty.. but.. I like it and would like it on display..
See.. totally indecisive
If they're in good nick I'm sure you could get a fair price for them.
My Mum has an old treadle Singer, which she has occasionally used.A few items are displayed on top.
Maybe choose which one of the two items you'd rather get rid of and deal with that first?0 -
And another 11 books to make it 100.:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Brilliant, short-bird - you've done really well0

Oops: and 2 more magazines for a total of 102. There's always more but not till next month as tonight there is washing up to be done and tomorrow, am going out for a curry straight after work. So that's the rest of the evening sorted:rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi girlies (and guys)
having a lovely time, weather not too bad, mum is in great spirits and we're managing plenty of fresh air and walking. Just realised I havent declared for July yet, so here goes
Junk 100 in July: 100/100
92-93 2 x Boys T-Shirts - Rag bag
94 Felt tips (worn out) - Lots binned
95 McD's toys - Binned
96 Bag of paper (used & discovered in LO's room) - Recycle
97 Dressing up outfit - In a bag for school
98 Grotty school t-shirts - rag bag
99 Book - In bag for school
100 Broken pencil sharpeners - Bin
Done and dusted, cant wait for August to start the abolition, although may struggle as we're off to Norfolk for our family holiday and I cant wait for that either.
You're all doing so well, keep up the great work, "see" you all soon. Have a great week everyoneGoodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

It sounds to me as if you've already decided about the clock. If you don't love it, don't keep it. I've just had a quick shufty and grandfather clocks - even modern "antique look" ones go - for mega bucks on Ebay.
The treadle - there is a case for keeping things of beauty. Why don't you have a think about where it could be displayed - there's no point keeping a thing of beauty if it's tucked out the way somewhere. If you have a place for it, put it there and take a view once you see it in position for a while.

and certainly worth e-baying - though would it be worth freebaying because of preferably passing it on to someone locally?0

Good morning all!
am finishing July with 449 fewer things in my home - which is REALLY scary:eek:
How did i accumulate stuff which i could so easily part with? Am very happy to have made a hole, even though it was soon filled but this meant seeing the bedroom carpet, which is good!
August will see a continuation of decluttering, probably wont be 449 things though:rotfl:although we might get around to doing the garage which means I can add a nought to that figure:eek:
Thanks for the help and encouragement, it makes such a difference to know its not just me. Big well dones to everyone who rid even one thing from their clutter.:TSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
