Have sorted through jars and bottles, being extremely strict this time and have reduced quantity down to around ten, this will keep me going. Have sorted paperwork in drawers of wall unit and managed to shred half of itother half put away in files with rest
. Bottles and jars kept are in cupboard I emptied earlier and still have space for soap making stuff :j:j. Poor hubby not well today so couldn't do his clothes as planned

I'm in. Returning from abroad means I am about to receive two loads of stuff: things which were in storage here in the UK and things we are bringing with us. I have duplicates for everything so I will be ebaying and donating loads. I had to idea I had so many things and it has come to either decluttering or learning to levitate over the clutter to reach the front door
So, yes, I'm in...............................................................................

Welcome MoonJelly. I don't think we're too good at levitation (!) here but between us we're having a good go at decluttering. It will be lovely for you to meet up with old friends from the storage. But I've done that sort of thing and can feel for you with the duplications!0

Good night all xx0 -
Didn't have time last weekend to post my decluttering update so here it is. I finally managed to re-pot my indoor plants and make more paperlogs for the winter. For the last couple of Saturday mornings I have spent 30 minutes dealing with the ivy in the front garden, I can really see a difference now. It is such a boring task that I can only do it for a short time.
On Sunday OH had a brilliant idea that we could scan our recipes from magazines etc and once scanned they could be thrown away, that will be completed over the next few weekends. Tonight I have spent some time looking through recipe leaflets and 10 have now gone in the recycling bin.
My next project will be to sort out our dry food cupboard, generally tidy up and then to write a list of what we got and keep it on the inside of the door, this will hopefully stop us from buying food that we already have in the cupboard.
Good luck with your decluttering. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
