Just read loopychriss decluttering her 300 photos; happily I did this during the cold winter evenings last year. Got two new albums off of another freegler and added some pages to another album then got stuck in. All photos are now sorted and stuck into albums. Lovely feeling to be organised, if only it would spill over into all my craft stuff, I just do not know where to put it all.

Soap making stuff covering two selves in alcove, big trolley with mix papers/decoupage master sheets/jewellery making stuff
Big bin with die cutter/LOADS of dies/plastic die height sleeves
Large cardboard box of glass jars for stringing & painting
Box of shells for decoration & candles
    Box of glass paints
Two drawers under bed full of fabric
    Big bin full of fabric
Three small bins full of patches for making up
    Dare I go on?

Any bright ideas how to store it? I do now have any cupboards in my house, not one. Wardrobe is full of clothes and hubbies model collection (will be selling in a year or two when value has increased)

Am seriously stuck for how to store it all...:(

Do you absolutetly need all this craft stuff? Can you do a decluttering of it to reduce it a bit?

Good morning all - there's a blue sky here and lots to indicate summer is still with us.
I had a very early morning so can report:
    19 books to recycling
    18 books to cs
4 books to spare room waiting to go with next visitor (you know who you are!)

Bettie, I'm curious to know, have all the items you've decluttered since your move been left at your new house, or did you bring them along with you when you moved in? Good luck with the in-laws...!
This is stuff that missed the original mad cull before the move. And we got rid of absolutely LOADS of stuff before the move.
I feel so much more streamlined now and it's far easier to keep the house clean and tidy than it previously was.

Good luck with your move! Keep us posted.

    *hangs head in shame.....
I did a massive cull of it last year as the card making had got a little out of hand....moves swiftly on :rotfl:

I am housebound (disabled) so I spend a lot of time making things in order to fill that huge twenty four hour day. Doing the same thing all the time makes it lose it's enjoyment so I switch a bit, I honestly don't think I have too much, it's just that I don't have any storage space at all. Now if I had a nice big cupboard behind the front door the whole lot could be tidied away....don't think my landlady would be very happy though :rotfl:

I also have practically no storage room in my flat, apart from the kitchen cupboards and my own furniture ie wardrobe, chest of drawers and bookshelves etc.

I am fortuanate in having a cellar space and have a quite a lot of stuff there.

Do you have those storage units that go under the bed?

I quite understand about you having need of these items.:o

Could you store them all,say in a hamper,or do you not have the room for this?If you had it all together it might take up less room?
  • Morning all

I've not been keeping a note of what's gone out the door so there may be a few things missing but I'm still hoping to get to 100 :D

    86. unwanted pink bangles - to CS
    87. staples and stamps - for use in CS
    88. hair (long-awaiting haircut) - there was loads even from a trim and layer  this also involved decluttering a fair few £££ _pale_ but I look much neater now :)
    89. bin out for council general waste collection

I have clothes and shoes sorted to go to CS later in the week, plus a pile of DD's clothes to go as well, which she washed and dried yesterday :A I will list them when they've actually left the building.

There's some fabulous decluttering going on - keep up the good work :T

    Hi All

Last night I was looking for a packet of stroganoff sauce mix, I found some :j BUT it was out of date. Went through all my packets which I neatly stack in a plastic container :A to save space. Out of a dozen or so packets of various mixes only one is still in date.

Tripped on a rug earlier, the underlay was rucked up - the so called nonslip underlay is now in the bin!

Newspapers and glass taken to recycling.

Kitchen worktops decluttered and material samples binned at last.

    Keep up the good work.

See this is my problem, cos no storage space have used two drawers under the bed for fabric another for storing odds and another has hubby's clothes in, towels and bedding are in an ottoman at the end of the bed. Have just cleared one of the cupboards in the wall unit by tidying properly, so should be able to get all of the soap making paraphrenalia in there at least, then two free shelves!! :T

I hope you haven't thrown them away - I'm sure they would still be edible :) x
