Delivered yesterdays handbags to the charity shop, plus two other charity bags I had filled previously and dumped in the living room (awaiting decorating so not in there much).
Also two bin bags of household rubbish from the garage to the tip as missed bin lorry last week. And daughters fancy dress trident to the tip.
Does all the about 'outs' redeem the two new tops I bought??
I got a charity bag in todays mail, sure I can fill it before saturdayLight Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
Well I started a Debt Free Wannabe thread so I thought I would now start a declutter thread as well.
Something to motivate me to clear up the house and tidy up. It is constantly a mess, I blame my better half for being a hoarder - although I wouldn't tell her that.
I will put in some tasks to complete when I remember - ranging from the smaller to the bigger. You never know maybe I will get somewhere...
Hi letmefree,
As your posts have now dropped down the board I've added them to our current decluttering thread where you should get lots of advice and support from others in the same position.

Sure does!!
Welcome letmefree. It is a great help to post what you've done in the way of decluttering so you can share your achievements and motivate yourself. People will even give you a friendly boot up the backside if you want :rotfl:
I'm a slow and steady declutterer myself, though we have some whirlwinds here as well. Whatever you can do, it's all a step in the right direction. Good luck x Oh, and have fun!!*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Had to throw out 3 peppers and a couple of tomatoes this morning, that had gone mouldy in the bottom of the fridge, peppers did have a BBE date of May so not surprising, lol, but tomatoes were given to me and at least I did use most of them. (34)
Also got a pile of paperwork filed, as I got fed up with my 'pending' pile falling out of the top of the wardrobe every time I took something out. In my household finance folder, I found some paperwork from household insurance policies from 2000, 2001 and 2005, which I thought was paperwork from one of the computers until I looked closely, so that is all now on the shredding pile, will shred tomorrow morning. (35)
I was going to take some old batteries and used envelopes in to work yesterday for recycling, but completely forgot about them until I got to work, so will have to take them tomorrow instead.
Finally got some washing in off the line today (only been out for almost 2 weeks, getting wet then dry and wet again, lol!), and put it through tumble dryer as I'd run out of undies, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Last night I thought to myself... You deserve a little treat. Went to the goody cupboard and found some Thorntons chocs, I'd been saving these for such an occasion. Sat down with a small drink and choccies. Opened them, not looking great bit white spotty looking. To my horror  they were out of date by a year. Had to throw them away.
Moral of this story.....eat them when you are given them and don't save till a rainy day
Ps. Lots more room in the cupboard without that huge box of chocolates but what a waste0
