Wasn't productive last night at all. Bought home 2 bottles of shampoo (needed and on BOGOF), 1 deodorant (again - needed) and 2 Orange, dutchy hairclips (completely free - will be worn for the remaining Holland football matches during the Euro - could only be one more! lol - and will then chuck them).

They have a big tub of these hairclips by the door, saying 'Free. Maximum 2 per person.'. It is sooo tempting to just walk by multiple times and get loads of them, with the idea of giving them to my neices at some point, but I know they're more likely to end up in the bin after cluttering the apartment for months instead. So I shall resist!!

One fab thing about clearing out, packing and moving house is finding old random photographs. Just had an amazing hour reminiscing!

    *sigh*

Need to get ready for work soon so will knock it on the head for today I think.

Son has decided to part with his Xbox steering wheel. He drove us mad for it and he's only used it once or twice. That will liberate the top shelf of his wardrobe (to no doubt fill with more junk).

Well, since I have waited 2 weeks for a charity bag through the door, an no one is obliging, I thought I'd go to the clothing bank. Would have been hilarious to watch, very frustrating though. My bag was too big to fit in the hatch as it had some ridiculous grooves, but it said clothes must be bagged. So was going to take it back home, when the bag tore on the Stoopid grooves. So I have been very naughty, and put them in sort of wrapped in torn bits of bags. Only one of the bags, I brought the other home. I wanted to swear. Honestly, you try and do a decent thing, and the bl@@dy world conspires against you...

    Hmph.

I am decluttering at work - moving location - hell I have accumulated some carp over the years! Being careful to use the recycle bins and sending kids home with bags full of stuff :) Does mean I have brought a load of stuff home but it is all carefully boxed and labelled and stored ready to go in September or maybe before. However does mean I have to be ruthless at home too so heres to a jubilant jettisoning weekend - and it a FLW on Eb*y too:j:j

Eurgh found some flour mites / pantry mites in my cupboard. Has caused quite a Lot of flingage. And bleaching. Yuk.

Thankfully there wasn't lots. So I think I've caught them early. Have checked and bleached the other cupboards but thankfully it seems contained to just one.

So been sorting kitchen, spare room will have to wait till after the weekend.

(thank you ziggy I do feel a bit better, my little brats have kept me busy today haha)

  • Well I managed to get 3 other items packaged up from ebay sales yesterday taking my jettison total to 60 for the month so far. I seem to be slowing down at the moment....need to speed up a bit this weekend. Hope others are feeling a little more motivated than me tonight, I'm more interested in the bottle of wine in the fridge!! :rotfl:
