Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

ive managed to cs a couple of bits, mainly a plastic fish tank, some hamster bits and a few of those free cds from papers.
plus rehomed a few ornaments to an aunt who loves her bronze bits, but will take them to her when im over that way.
it all gradually going, and as long as i dont bring in more i should be okay. i dont know why i do it. im not much of a ornament/clutter person-and end up picking up stuff i only end up giving away?
i really need to be tough now and not bring/buy anything unnecasary in, plus continue the sifting through and i should be okay. and my flat should hopefully start getting to the way i want it and start seeing some more money in my pocket/bank account.0 -
I find the funniest thing about the decluttering is seeing all the old "crazes" and random things I was collecting. Things I said I would stick at collecting like badges, keyrings, stamps, postcards and now they are all going on eBay. I've just opened a box of stuff I found hidden away and it's funny to see this stuff again after so long! I found 2 tamagotchis the other day and an old Furby!
Finished work early so time to get listing some more.
Oh dear, I have no idea why I bought some of these things, who needs 13 of the same colouring book and 6 of the same fridge magnet??.. I seem to remember them being 5/10p at a car boot or something...?0 -

Another bag of clothes to the CS,along with a blanket.
Loads of unneeded, empty jam jars in the bottle bank-I have enough HM jam to last me at least five years.;)
Another six dvds that I'll hopefully manage to sell, plus one watch.
Another load of paperwork recycled too.0 -
Hooraaaayyyy!
About 12 estate car bootfuls to the tip, some things passed on/returned to offspring and 6 things listed on Ebay - 4 sold so far. Anyone care to come and inspect our loft? It's newly boarded and really rather swish. And a lot tidier than the rest of the house....
I've started on the spare room with a vengeance (also known as the 'ebay' room, even though I don't currently have time to 'bay stuff) and, who knows, by the end of June, when she comes down, my 75 year-old mum could be sleeping in a room that DOESN'T have Iron Maiden posters on the walls, three boxes of tat waiting for a car boot under the bed and so many old 'it'll be sure to come in handy one day' things everywhere there's no room to put your clothes. Hey, I might even see if we can decorate it, too. Farewell, orange jazzy colour from the 1990's, and welcome gentle 'wellbeing green' or something equally dignified.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Good start to my 100 for May - 4 small bottles of shampoo conditioner decanted into other bottles and recycled, tube of moisturiser used up and (best of all) 80 books to book swap and 30 brought back, so net loss of 50 books! So far 55/100!!Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250

I've had 4 items sell today on eBay and am still waiting for payment for 3 items. So will be looking forward to getting these 7 out. I have done a huge clean of the kitchen today and cluttered everything into it's correct cupboard and bought some nice herbs for the windowsill. Is getting there slowly!
Just washed a load of clothes to list. I swear this stuff is breeding or maybe I am just getting more and more into it. These things are wasting space, my wardrobe looks so much better without all the never worn clothes taking up space. Is it just me that is really enjoying the declutter? :rotfl:
I'm all done for today now into bed with The Apprentice and some popcorn0
