I think the decluttering 100 items in January is a great idea, and would like to join in please :-)
It sounds a lot less overwhelming than "need to declutter everything"....

Can I join in the challenge too please?

So far I have got rid of

Black bag of boys clothes given away
    2 broken chest of drawers
    5 various toys to donate
2 New toys my son got for christmas that he already had previously and never played with (Big Ones!)
A broken DVD got thrown today.
And I have filled 2 black bags of rubbish for the wheelie bin since I started.

So in total 10 items which is good (there are way too many clothes to count in that bag!)

My clothes are up next. Definitely. *Toddles off to find the no buying toiletries thread. I think 148 items (not including make up) is extreme. *

Really pleased today, my shopping trolley was delivered! It's a really modern one - I have treated myself. :)

It will make it so much easier to get rid of more stuff quickly as I don't drive.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the charity shop I go............:rotfl:

I've sorted 1/2 of one of my desk drawers while watching tv. Loads of paperwork shredded or put in the recycling bag and only a small pile to keep so far.

Hi PP, Please can I join? _ and I'm from Yorkshire too :D

I think I may have decluttered around that already if you count little fiddly bits of stuff tho, but I'll start again...

Cleared another 2 drawers = carrier bag full of carp and found 3 boxes of drawing pins, now why could I never find one when I needed one? Have listed a load of old tat on Freegle =12 items, not sure if it will go but if not it's to the bin...

Slightly off-topic, but humour me here please. Does anyone else have smells that seem to encourage motivation to clear and declutter?

I used to burn incense or oil...but cant for the life of me remember what scents!

Hi, can I join too please? We tidied the lounge before Christmas and I'm determined to get rid of lots of 'junk' this year. OH sorted out a carrier bag of paperwork tonight and half of it went in shredder/bin. But I still have a mountain to climb before I achieve my clutterfree haven. I've had 2 boxes of 'stuff' in my car (for 2 months-embarrassed) ready to take to charity. and it's still there. need i say more...

Bleach?? nah - that doesnt work for me. Just reminds me of swimming baths!

Funnily enough my younger daughter (13) said to me a few days ago that she likes the smell of bleach - its funny cos she's the messiest of the three kids and the one I have to remind/nag most to bring pots down from bedroom and clothes in laundry baskets
